TIMING CHIP
You will receive your timing chip at bike check-in. Please securely
fasten your chip around your left ankle and do not remove it
throughout the competition, unless racing in a team event.
We advise you to wear it underneath your wetsuit during the swim
should you be wearing a wetsuit.
If you fail to wear the timing chip correctly we cannot guarantee you
the correct result.
Timing chips must be handed in at the end of the race before leaving
the finish area. You will be charged for your chip if you fail to
return it.
RACE BAG
At Registration you will receive a drawstring race bag.
Feel free to place any personal belongings, including clothes
to wear after the race, in your race bag. Leave this at the bag
drop off area at Registration on race day.
Please note that only your race equipment can be left in the
transition area. The organisers assume no liability for lost objects.
Please ensure the race number on your race bag matches your
race number and wristband before depositing it in the bag drop
as you will need to show your race number in order to collect
your bag after your race.

BIKE CHECK IN
At check-in, a safety check will be carried out on
your bike and helmet. Don’t forget to have your bike
in good working order. Remember if your bike isn’t
fit to race then you won’t be allowed to start
- safety first!
The Check-In to the Transition is near the Race Venue
at the Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht Club,
Theater Road - on the Breakwater near Marina Mall.
Entry in and exit out of Transition will be controlled
by wristband and race number, therefore please
keep them ready for inspection.
RACKING YOUR BIKE
• Stick your bike number onto your bike saddle
post before check-in.
• For identification purposes during check-in,
have your race number and wristband ready
to gain entry to Transition.
• Attach the helmet stickers to the front of your
helmet and wear your bike helmet fastened on
your head when you come to check-in.
