CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR

2012

A COUNTRY HOUSE

MADE FOR CHRISTMAS

At The Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa we will create for you

a Christmas to remember…

The Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa is more like a grand English home than a hotel. Our Georgian house,

exquisitely dressed with festive decorations is not only the place to be, but the place you want it to be.

Each room has been fully refurbished and has been individually designed and decorated with its own

distinctive personality.

This festive season, look forward to sumptuous surroundings, roaring fires, homemade mince pies,

delicious seasonal fayre and an extensive wine list...

CHRISTMAS EVE

MONDAY 24th DECEMBER 2012

Whether your journey is long or short, you will be welcomed in from the cold with a warming glass of

mulled wine and accompanying homemade mince pies. Once you have settled into your room, you are

invited to join the team and your fellow guests for a full afternoon tea. The rest of the afternoon is yours

to do with as you please, so why not take a wander around our beautiful grounds or visit the halcyon spa

and unwind with a relaxing treatment.

The evening festivities begin with a performance from our local choir singing Christmas carols around

the tree followed by a Champagne and canapé reception which precedes a four course gourmet dinner

in the MULBBERY restaurant with a musical accompaniment from our resident pianist. Midnight Mass

takes place at our village church, to which our guests are most welcome. Before you retire to bed why

not indulge with a hot chocolate, marshmallows, whipped cream and cookies.

CHRISTMAS DAY

TUESDAY 25th DECEMBER 2012

Begin your Christmas Day celebrations with a leisurely

breakfast served in the MULBERRY restaurant. Our

younger guests should make their way to the library

where a very special and familiar, jolly sort of fellow

will be waiting to surprise them! Later, relax in our

drawing room, enjoy a stroll in the grounds or perhaps

join in the morning service at our village church.

A traditional Christmas feast will then be served in

the MULBERRY restaurant: five delicious courses,

lovingly prepared with all the trimmings. As the

afternoon progresses, relax with tea and Christmas

cake, watch the Queen’s speech or perhaps test

yourselves with our Christmas quiz? Join us early

evening for our fabulous wine tasting event while the

kids enjoy a non-alcoholic cocktail class or have fun

in our children’s games room. During the evening we

will be serving a delicious hot and cold buffet in the

MULBERRY restaurant.

BOXING DAY

WEDNESDAY 26th DECEMBER 2012

After a leisurely breakfast, relax in the halcyon spa

and perhaps pamper yourself with a treatment from

our extensive list. Why not take a trip into the nearby

City of Bath and visit some of the many attractions.

The Theatre Royal for example, always performs a

most memorable pantomime.

Return to us for a delicious full afternoon tea served

by the roaring log fires. Champagne and canapés will

be served early evening and a four course gourmet

dinner will follow with musical entertainment from our

resident pianist. Join us after dinner for a spectacular

fireworks display to finish off a perfect Christmas.
