Nation can be viewed as something found in the feelings and minds of people, an
internal connection to others

NATION AND NATION-STATE
Nation - usually a feeling or an internal connection
Nation-State - a more concrete, external concept
internationally recognized boundaries (common
legal beliefs)
politically organized body of people under a
sovereign government

the protection of rights and freedoms
described in the Charter of Rights and
Freedom
a belief in the principles of a mixed economy

nation
