A Message from our new 2012 Co-Presidents
Anita and John Jacques
Hello WAA members,
The first member’s meeting of 2012, had a
wonderful turn out, excellent presentation,
and was quite informative. One topic addressed, was how important
an asset the WAA website has become to our members. You now can
set up your profile, display a limited amount of photographs of your
artwork, add an artist statement, and link your personal website to the
website of the WAA. So, check out the newest features of our website
and take advantage of the “WIIFY” (what’s in it for you) as a member
of the Wilmington Art Association.
This year’s Juried Spring Art Show entrants are required to upload the
photographs of their artwork to the WAA’s website. For some artists
this is not an issue, but for those who would prefer to pay a
professional photographer, or find uploading images too daunting,
there will be member supported workshops available for a nominal
fee.
The Spring Show committee has worked tirelessly behind the scenes
on all of the details required to put together our 30 th Annual Juried
Spring Art Show & Sale. They are now ready for our contributions of
time, food, and set-up support for the show. Sign-up sheets will be
available at our next two member’s meetings. Volunteering for our
30 th Annual Spring Art Show will prove to be fun, rewarding, and
greatly appreciated by all.
We will do our best to support and promote your interests. Use the
CONTACT feature on the website where we encourage all members to
communicate your thoughts, interests, and ideas on how the
Wilmington Art Association can continue to benefit the art community.
We would really like to hear from you.
Co-Presidents,
Anita Jacques
John Jacques
