Definition of higher-order structures in the cell nucleus; mechanisms forming nuclear compartmentalization.
Structure, dynamics, and function of the nucleoskeleton. Identification of nuclear structures active in
epigenetic regulation of gene expression. Characterization of nuclear functions of myosin I, actin and actinbindig
proteins. Development of new methods in microscopy.

and pathology, developmental biology (8 defended PhD thesis, currently supervising 6 PhD students).
