A LEGACY 

of 

LEATHER 

Even from the beginning, Harley-Davidson 

approached riding gear with thoughtful design. 

Our first leather jacket appeared in our 1927 

Accessories Catalog and was made of horsehide 

leather with a moleskin liner. Much like our new 

jackets, it was warm and rain-resistant, making 

it the perfect year-round riding companion. 

Decades later, there’s one thing we’ve learned— 

quality is in the details. Little things like front 

and back venting, and perforated panels make 

a huge difference on hot rides. Our jackets have 

comfort enhancing pre-curved sleeves and action 

backs, features that are often overlooked by other 

brands. Even the zippers are top-quality to ensure a 

snag-free ride. We’ve come a long way since that 

first leather jacket, but our commitment to quality 

and to the rider is still inherent in every piece of 

gear we build, now and forever.

process to give it a vintage, already-broken-in look. And 

since it’s made with high-quality hide, it’ll only get better 

with time. The Trenton Leather Jacket has two hand-warmer
