Alan Oster, Group Chief Economist, National Australia Bank Ltd
Alan joined the bank in 1992 from the Federal Treasury where he worked for 15 years - his special field
being economic forecasting and monetary policy.
Immediately before joining the Bank, Alan was the Senior Adviser in Treasury responsible for economic
forecasting and modelling. In 1987 he was seconded for nearly four years as Counsellor-Economic and
Financial with Australia’s delegation to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in
As Group Chief Economist, Alan is responsible for NAB’s global economic and financial forecasts. He is
also a highly respected and much quoted commentator on Australian and global economic trends and
Sam Nathan, Director - Residential Projects Practice Group, Charter Keck Cramer
Sam Nathan joined Charter Keck Cramer in 2000 and is a Director of the firm’s Residential Projects
Specialising in CBD, city fringe and inner urban medium density and mixed use developments, Sam
provides strategic and project specific advice to all market stakeholders.
Sam is responsible for the integration of the Residential Projects Practice Group with Charter’s Strategic
Research, Development & Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Land & Building
Surveying and Corporate Real Estate Business Units to facilitate client outcomes through all aspects of
the development cycle, and leads the firm’s interaction with inbound Asian developers and investors.
Richard Bowman, Partner, Ernst & Young
Richard has in excess of 20 years property experience, specialising in financial due diligence, capital and
rental valuations of commercial, industrial and retail properties for acquisition, annual reporting and
strategy purposes. During this period, Richard has had 7 years experience based in Sydney with the
balance in Melbourne. He currently heads up the Valuation service line at Ernst & Young and prior to
joining Ernst & Young over six years ago, was Victorian State Valuation Leader at a major agency
company. Richard has undertaken due diligence and/or valuations for a wide range of institutional,
corporate and government clients.
Stephen Andrew, National Director - Retail, Colliers International
Stephen Andrew is the National Director – Retail for Colliers International Consultancy and Valuation Pty
Limited. He specialises in the provision of valuation and consulting advice in respect to Regional,
Sub-Regional and Neighbourhood shopping centres in all Australian states. He has provided due
diligence advice in many of Australia’s largest retail transactions.
Stephen has in excess of 25 years of experience in the property industry and leads a national team of 10
specialist retail valuers in regard to strategy, client engagement and major valuation instructions. He also
works closely with the Retail Investment Services division of Colliers International providing technical
support and consultancy services as part of major national sales campaigns. Stephen acts for a wide
range of institutional, corporate and private clients and major banking institutions.

Luke Dixon, Senior Research Manager – Industrial, CBRE
Luke is based in Melbourne and leads CBRE’s Industrial research nationally.
Prior to joining CBRE, Luke worked for Davis Langdon an AECOM Company, as a Senior Research Analyst
specialising in property and construction sentiment analysis, knowledge management and strategic
consulting to government and non government clients.
Between 2007 and 2011, Luke worked for the Property Council Australia’s Victorian and National offices
in policy, research and government relations, advocating for some of Australia’s largest developers,
builders and investors.
