EMBRAER IMPLEMENTS MRO-ERP SYSTEM AT ITS FIVE OWN CENTERS<br />
Component Control’s Quantum software manages all of Embraer’s maintenance activities<br />
São José dos Campos, October 20, 2009 – Embraer has concluded the implement<strong>at</strong>ion of<br />
Component Control’s Quantum Control TM Ent<strong>erp</strong>rise Resource Planning (ERP) software <strong>at</strong><br />
<strong>its</strong> <strong>five</strong> <strong>own</strong> Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) <strong>centers</strong>, worldwide. The agreement<br />
between the companies was announced in June 2007.<br />
The first Embraer MRO facility to fully implement the Quantum software was Embraer<br />
Aircraft Maintenance Services (EAMS), in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S., in April 2008.<br />
The two dedic<strong>at</strong>ed Embraer Executive Jets service <strong>centers</strong> in the U.S., in Mesa, Arizona, and Fort<br />
Lauderdale, Florida, which recently commemor<strong>at</strong>ed their first year of oper<strong>at</strong>ions, also<br />
implemented the ERP solution in 2008. Quantum Control’s integr<strong>at</strong>ed applic<strong>at</strong>ions and easy-touse<br />
fe<strong>at</strong>ures enabled both <strong>centers</strong> to receive Federal Avi<strong>at</strong>ion Administr<strong>at</strong>ion (FAA) certific<strong>at</strong>ion,<br />
confirming Embraer’s commitment to become a major player in the business avi<strong>at</strong>ion market.<br />
By early 2009, Embraer Avi<strong>at</strong>ion Intern<strong>at</strong>ional, in Le Bourget, France, also had the <strong>system</strong><br />
running. This month, the Embraer Service Center in Gavião Peixoto, Brazil, finished<br />
implementing the software, thus granting all Embraer service <strong>centers</strong> global standardiz<strong>at</strong>ion<br />
and integr<strong>at</strong>ion.<br />
Quantum Control TM combines aircraft services, distribution and rotable management of spare<br />
parts, hangar and contact controls, accounting, e-commerce, and other business functions in<br />
one dynamic upd<strong>at</strong>able software suite. It provides the perfect scaleable infrastructure<br />
technology to support Embraer’s growing MRO business, worldwide.<br />
