C.R.A.F.T. Colour Masters

CONGRATULATIONS to seven more hairdressers who

have became C.R.A.F.T. Colour Masters in Spring 2009.

Pictured above, Left to right:

Stephen Housley, Matrix Colour Mastery Educator, Caroline Fletcher from Benson & Hefti

Partnership - Leeds, Paul Watts from Baa Baa’s - Northampton, Donna Smith from Peter Marcus

– Manchester, Brent Woodall from Brent hairdressing - Stockport, Andrea Philips from Arcarna –

Milton Keynes, Harry Nichola from Baa Baa’s - Northampton, Donna Finn from Male Ego - Hull and

Jayne Scrafton, Matrix Colour Mastery Educator.

12 months has passed since the launch of the Matrix C.R.A.F.T Colour Mastery and

the course has been a huge success so far. All who attended in 2008 have gone from

strength to strength in colour and this spring saw seven more take up the challenge.

They embarked upon their journey into the world of haircolour in March and finished the

10 day program in May. They were taken through all the elements that are required to

understand haircolour as a master does, as well as a surprise visit from Gary Hooker &

Michael Young from Hooker & Young, who are Matrix Colour Ambassadors

Colour Masters hard at work.

One Year On: The Original

Colour Master..

Last year, Andrew Slater became one of the first

ever Matrix CRAFT Colour Master. We caught

up with Andrew recently to see how his salon

life had changed since:

You were amongst the first group ever to become

a Matrix Colour Master, what made you do the

course?

I needed a new challenge and fresh ideas… to

think outside the box and I knew this course, would

tick all the right boxes and how right I was.

I thought I knew

everything

about colour...

How wrong

could I be!

Almost 12 months on,

what difference has it

made to how you

approach colour in your

salon?

I’ve been hairdressing for

27 years and I thought I

knew everything about

colour before this course. How wrong could I be!

The Colour Mastery Course has taught me the

fundamentals of doing an in depth consultation

looking at eye colour, skin tone and client’s lifestyle.

Has being a Colour Master helped your business?

Without a doubt, the Salon has just under gone a

major rebranding by doubling in size. This course

gave me the confidence to go ahead, knowing that

the knowledge I gained would keep me ahead of

the competition and increase our percentage of

colour clients, which has definitely happened.

Would you recommend this to other salon owners?

Most definitely! This course will be one of the best

investments you will ever make. Not just financially

but by showing what can be achieved with colour

and making colour exciting.
