the good news

By awesome deeds you answer us with righteousness,

O God of our salvation,

the hope of all the ends of the earth

and of the farthest seas;

the one who by his strength established the mountains,

being girded with might;

who stills the roaring of the seas,

the roaring of their waves,

the tumult of the peoples,

so that those who dwell at the ends

of the earth are in awe at your signs.

You make the going out of the morning

and the evening to shout for joy.

Psalm 65:5-8

Camp Buc

Please be in prayer for all of our campers attending

Camp Buc this summer!

Thank You!

A special thanks to all VBS volunteers! We all had

a blast at the “Everywhere Fun Fair!” We learned that

neighbors are friendly, neighbors are giving, neighbors,

are bold and neighbors are forgiving. We also learned to

love God with our whole heart, soul, strength and mind

and to love our neighbors as ourselves! Thanks again to

those who helped out. We couldn’t have done it without

Especially, we would like to thank our codirectors

this year for all of their time, energy, creativity

and organization put into the fun fair. Thank you to Kelli

Burnett, Debra Gantt and Meredith Greene. You are

Some of the highlights of our week together

included a daily visit from our feathered friend, Godwin,

with interesting and fun facts from countries around

the world. Our children enjoyed the koi pond in Japan,

playing the drums in Zimbabwe, new words and phrases

and games from United Kingdom and all the messy –

hands on projects in Australia. The Bible stories came to

life each night as children entered the Bible Bazaar and

encountered the EPC players.

Our mission emphasis this year was the Samaritan

Health Clinic which is providing medical care to those

in Easley who are in need. The children collected office

supplies all week and will be able to make a generous

donation of supplies.

Our 5th Graders put their faith into actions as they

served our church and our community all week long.

Please take a trip by the Samaritan Health Clinic to see

how they beautified the sign out front. They were also

able to make a donation of over 200 can goods to United

Christian Ministries after a can food scavenger hunt.

Some adults and youth enjoyed getting started

on our Habitat House and hope to continue to work

together this summer.

We ended the week with a cookout, singing and

a great time at the Closing Carnival Celebration with fun,

food and fellowship.

What a great week at the Everywhere Fun Fair!

Don’t forget to be a good neighbor to all of God’s children

both near and far and to love God with your whole heart!!

Many of the High School Youth recently returned from

cool sealed the roof. We worked hard and had a great

Thank You!

I cannot begin to thank the congregation of E.P.C.

sufficiently for the tremendous outpouring of prayer

and support during the recent illness and death of my

father. Anne and I felt so wonderfully cared for and so

abundantly blessed by our Ekklesia! This is such a special

congregation and we are so grateful to God for you.

Thank you for helping us through such a difficult time.
