We set out to produce quality
clothing and accessories while
making a positive environmental
impact by supporting organic
textile farming. All of our
products are certified with the
Global Organic Textile Standard
(GOTS). This is the worldwide
leading textile processing
standard for organic fibres,
including ecological and
social criteria, backed up by
independent certification of
the entire textile supply chain.
The aim of the standard is to
define world-wide recognised
requirements that ensure organic
status of textiles, from harvesting
of the raw materials, through
environmentally and socially
responsible manufacturing
up to labeling, in order to
provide a credible assurance
to the end consumer.
Not only are our garments
ethically produced but they
are also beautifully made out
of the very finest yarn and
include t-shirts, sweatshirts
and bags. As well as organic
clothing we are continually
pushing the boundaries in
innovation and our range
includes two recycled products
which are made using 100%
recycled bottles. Approximately
44 bottles are used for our
polar fleece jacket and 4 go
into our recycled bag ... this
really is making a difference.

Have you ever wondered where your
plastic bottles go after you throw them
into the recycling?
Well, if they’re lucky enough to end up in the
hands of Okarma then they could be born
again as a cosy fleece or handy bag.
Okarma’s OK40 fleece jacket and OK44 Bag
have an ingenious twist. Each fleece reuses
approximately 44 plastic bottles and each
bag reuses 4, saving landfill waste and thus
environmental damage. What’s surprising
about these products is that they feel and
look just as good as the same products not
made from recycled materials, so there’s
really no excuse not to choose Okarma.
