The BUC converts the L-band IF (950 – 1700 MHz) up to Ku-band<br />

radio signal (13.75-14.50 GHz (extended)) and amplifies the TX<br />

power level. The BUC receives the TX signal and power from the<br />

VIM.<br />

9.5.13.1 Removing the BUC<br />

Tools needed:<br />

1. Follow the instructions in Removing the Polarisation Unit on<br />

page 9-73.<br />

• 4 x 150 mm Allen key<br />

(located inside the<br />

service door of the ADU)<br />
