Panels serve as filler in cooling towers with a view to extend inside surface and thus increase cooling efficiency. The filler
may also be used for bio-filtration of polluted air, desulphurization of biogas, waste water purification, etc.
It is a plastic moulding with shaped channels designed for discharge of the cooled medium (water), this medium
subsequently cools down industrial or power-station facilities.
Panels are moulded mechanically from non-plasticized PVC of black to dark grey colour, thickness 0.35-0.45 mm.
CFPs are manufactured in various profile types and sizes.

Labelling of individual CFP types is based on:
a) abbreviated title of the cooling filler panel
b) nominal dimensions in v mm
c) profile type indicated with capital letter
d) design characterised by initial thickness of the material in mm stated behind the slash

Panels are resistant against water, alcohols, paraffin hydrocarbons, inorganic acids (e.g. HCl, HF, H 2
) and alkalis (e.g. NaOH,
KOH), unless they have oxidizing effect. They swell in organic acids.
