September Newsletter - Dundas Little

On Championship Day, August 23, Dundas Little League paid tribute to the years of volunteer work put in by the Correa family. At the back of our grateful group of Little Leaguers are Susan and Mike, and their son Ryan, a former Little League player and now an umpire. Their two other sons – Andrew, a player and umpire, and Congratulations to our 2008 Little League Champs! It was a perfect day for baseball. The weather was warm, the sky was blue and the kids were ready to play ball! Dundas Little League’s Championship Day on August 23 was the culmination of an amazing season. From Opening Day, when we watched our children step tentatively onto the diamond to the confident players we saw making amazing plays in August, we proudly watched them develop into mature Little Leaguers. We thank all the children for supporting their teammates along the way, and the many coaches and volunteers who made this year so special for our kids. Dundas Little League congratulates all the teams for a great year, especially our champions: Major T-ball: Go-Bee Industries Pirates Minor Little League: Steel City CrossFit Blue Jays Major Little League: Cal Chek Pirates We’ll see everyone when the kids of summer return in May! T-baller Thomas – are among the group. The Correas are taking a small step away from the daily grind of running the league and will take lower-profi le roles to stay involved. Everyone involved in the League – from parents to volunteers to players – owe them a a lot. We thank them for their dedication and we’ll see them at the park!
