Natatorium Programming 9
The Center for Functional Fitness
At the Center for Functional Fitness, you’ll find Forever
Young, a program designed specifically for ages 50 and
up. Our goal is to prepare our patrons for a lifetime of
independence! We focus on muscular strength, cardio
endurance, balance, flexibility, cognition, and nutrition.
The equipment in our facility
is specially designed for functional
training. Our nationally
certified fitness staff is there to provide you with hands-on
instruction to help you achieve your fitness goals. For more
information call 330-971-8080.
Silver Series- The Silver Series program takes the most popular style
of land fitness classes and adjusts them to better accommodate the needs of
people who want the tempo a bit slower,
the volume a bit lower, the transitions not
as quick, but a workout that is challenging,
fun, and gets results. All of our Silver
classes focus on increasing balance,
strength, and flexibility. Schedules can
be found online.
Pilates Reformer
Using a series of springs, straps, and pulleys, a Pilates Reformer has a sliding
platform on which you lay, kneel, or sit. Under the direct supervision of a
Reformer-trained Pilates instructor, you will go through a series of movements
designed to tone and strengthen your
muscles without “bulking up”. Annual
patrons of the Center for Functional
Fitness or The Natatorium can make private
appointments (1-2 people/session)
to be held at the patron’s convenience.
For program or fee structure questions, contact Karyn Petty at 330-971-8078.
