Glenn Anderson<br />

Glenn Anderson is currently an IT Specialist and Conference Content Manager with the System z curriculum of IBM Lab Services and<br />

Training. In addition to delivering classes on performance, WebSphere and security, Glenn is a popular speaker at IT <strong>conference</strong>s<br />

throughout the world. During his 35 years with IBM, Glenn has held positions in sales, technical support and management. His<br />

current areas of focus include the z/OS Workload Manager and all aspects of System z capacity and performance, zEnterprise,<br />

WebSphere, and current IT technology trends such as cloud computing. Glenn holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the Missouri<br />

University of Science and Technology. In his private life, Glenn is active in Chicago area theatre as a member of an improvisational<br />

acting troupe. He also performs original stand-up comedy, both in clubs and occasionally in the classroom.<br />

Mark Friedman<br />

Mark Friedman is the founder and CTO of Demand Technology Software. He’s the author of two books and many published articles<br />

on Windows performance and related topics. He blogs periodically about performance issues at<br />

http://performancebydesign.blogspot.com/. He was the recipient of CMG’s Michelson Award in 2005 and was honoured in 2006 by<br />

the <strong>UKCMG</strong>. He recently spent four years working as an Architect in the Developer Division at Microsoft.<br />

Michael Patrick Welch<br />

Michael Patrick Welch is a Solutions Architect with SAS Institute. He has worked with SAS Software for the past 30 years and has as<br />

many years doing systems programming, performance analysis, and capacity planning on IBM Mainframe systems as well as other<br />

platforms. He won the CMG J. William Mullen award in 2004.<br />

Fabio Massimo Ottaviani<br />

Fabio Massimo Ottaviani has been involved in the areas of Performance, Service Levels, Capacity Planning and Cost Accounting<br />

since 1982. In 2002 he joined EPV Technologies as Technical Director to design the EPV products suite. He is involved in projects<br />

aimed at the performance optimization of IMS, CICS and Websphere applications and in general of z/OS environments. He also<br />

performs periodical Capacity Planning activities at many customers sites in Italy. Fabio Massimo Ottaviani has been involved in<br />

CMG-Italia activities since 1989 presenting many papers at CMG-Italia <strong>conference</strong>s and winning the Best Paper Award in 2001 and<br />

2004. He is also a frequent speaker at GSE <strong>conference</strong>s in Italy and abroad. He has been a board member from 1991 to 1992, he<br />

served as vice president from 1993 to 1996 and as president from 1997 to 2000. Fabio Massimo Ottaviani has a degree in Statistics.<br />

Nicole Arksey<br />

Nicole Arksey is the Manager of the UI and Web Application Group at INETCO Systems Ltd, which specializes in application<br />

performance monitoring software. With over 8 years of experience in designing software, Nicole is responsible for ensuring the<br />

user interface of INETCO Insight displays the information that user's need to solve their application issues. Nicole is also<br />

passionate about visualizations and utilizing new ways to display big data in useful and meaningful ways.<br />
