Through the BRC, our retail members obtain
direct access to the key political decision
makers. The viewpoint of our members,
as well as that of the whole sector, can be
brought to the attention of MPs, MSPs, MEPs
and senior civil servants.

Our members often use the BRC for
information on complex legislative issues and
implications for their businesses, saving them
the need to employ expensive consultants.

The BRC is the official Government contact
on behalf of the retail sector for incidents
- everything from weather disruption to
food contamination. We can give you timely,
accurate information, lobby for the relaxation
of legislation and provide a confidential forum
where you can share your experiences and
