In recent years, our students have achieved great
things, and we are determined to continually improve
all aspects of the school for the benefit of present and
future generations of Ashfield students.

A Rich and Varied Curriculum
Achievement lies at the heart of everything we do at
Ashfield School.
We recognise the unique potential of every student at
Ashfield. Our students value the strong relationships they
have with their teachers and we work hard together to
achieve the challenging targets that we set.
Our aim is to develop young people to become high-quality
learners, enabling them to fulfil their unique potential and
become the best that they can be in school and beyond.
Ashfield students benefit from a huge range of experiences
and state-of-the-art, specialist facilities.
Our curriculum provides a rich, broad and balanced learning
experience for all of our students and includes the full range
of national curriculum subjects. Opportunities for choices and
specialisation begin in Year 8, building to a huge range of
options in Year 10 and Post 16.

Caring Community
Confident Students
with Diverse Interests
Our success here at Ashfield is built upon a strong foundation
of excellent relationships and an inclusive culture.
All students are proud and active members of a tutor group,
a year group and a House team.
Students at Ashfield enjoy a vast range of academic,
cultural and sporting interests. We strongly believe that
schools should develop the whole person and we actively
encourage and support students to participate in our
huge range of extra-curricular activities.

that everyone can take part. You can earn House
Points for all kinds of things, from 100% attendance
to competing in the Spelling Games... It’s really
good fun!”

For those students wishing to stay on at
school beyond 16, the opportunities at
the new, state-of-the-art Post 16 Centre,
described by Ofsted as a “facility of
outstanding quality”, are simply
breathtaking! From A Level Psychology
to Construction and Trowel Skills, the
centre provides opportunities and
experiences for all, enabling students to
follow any interest, any career path.
With the feeling of being a campus
in its own right, yet remaining within
the safety of the school community,
Ashfield Post 16 enables students to
develop and mature into confident
and successful young adults.
