Regardless how long the oil reserves will last and whether ‘Peak Oil’ has already occurred or not - a great transition will take place into a post-oil<br />

economy at some point. This transition will happen in a relatively short period of time. <strong>The</strong> related transformational processes will require considerable<br />

changes in the way our energy businesses source, operate, produce, and ship, and in the way we live, we consume, and we work. What<br />

does this imply for our economies? What does it imply, in particular, for the oil-and-gas industry itself?<br />

IT strategies regulate the long-term deployment of information and communications systems. It is very hard to define any general rules for formulating<br />

IT strategies, and even experts often have only vague ideas about their content. In our vision of the company‘s future – we see IT playing<br />

a dominant role in what we will refer to as a “digital enterprise“. We will share open minded ideas in the areas of IT strategy that support such<br />

concept and initiate mind sharing conversation.<br />
