Built for this moment. For the instant you reach the top of the hill. And the view takes your

breath away. When going down a hill feels as electrifying as ascending it. The moment a child

gets their fi rst exhilarating taste of movement on wheels. These are the moments for which

we engineer bicycles. And have done for over 60 years. 1950 saw the fi rst registration of a

patent for a BMW-developed light-alloy bicycle frame. Other innovations followed, among them,

in 1996, the BMW Top Tech, the fi rst foldable full-suspension mountain bike, and in 1999,

the BMW Q-Bike series, featuring a patented frame and folding mechanism. The BMW

Kidsbike was introduced in 2003. Thanks to its unique frame, it can be converted from a

pushbike into a pedal bike.

As a bike specialist, BMW has set new standards – and continues to do so. The current

model series once again fulfi ls the highest expectations in terms of quality, safety and design.

We do not use volume-produced third-party frames, but develop our own. Frames that owe

their unmistakable design to manufacturing processes usually only associated with the

automobile industry. That hold an irresistible appeal. Frames which, together with all fi tted

components, are examined by independent testing bodies to comply with strict DIN standards

and equally demanding BMW in-house requirements. Test requirements that go beyond the

usual industry standards. In short: your equipment can handle whatever you throw at it. All

you need is the will to do it. Be the engine.

1 | Reliable. The new XT disc brakes deliver in all

circumstances, and Servo Wave technology ensures

excellent braking power with a high degree of modulation.

Like all products from the Shimano Deore XT range,

these brakes offer superior performance for mountain

bikers who set great store by reliability.

2 | Sophisticated. The Shimano Shadow rear

derailleur from the Deore XT group was especially

developed for All Mountain riders and features an extra

thin profi le that reduces the risk of damage to the

derailleur on demanding terrain. For a crisp shift feeling

without hitting the chain stay.

3 | Intelligent. Thanks to the construction of the

frame and rear assembly, the Manitou S-Type does

not need a separate lock-out function. The shock only

activates to absorb bumps from uneven terrain. The

BMW-designed rocker arm is cut from aluminium,

with a red anodised surface.

Whether your ride takes you along single track routes, serpentine tarmac or through a dried-up river bed, the sporty BMW Mountain Bike

Cross Country excels on every surface and at every speed – thanks to its fi nely tuned suspension, high damping comfort and a frame

geometry which allows for an athlethic, inclined seating position. When going up a mountain you can count on this bike’s excellent climbing

ability. On downhill rides, its direct, sensitive steering characteristics ensure safety and agility. Premium components like the fully hydraulic

disc brakes and a four-pivot rear suspension perfectly complement the hydroformed aluminium frame. The BMW Mountain Bike Cross Country

can hold its own in any comparison. And on any terrain.

1 | Adjustable. The Manitou Minute Elite air

suspension fork comes with variable travel, adjustable

from 35 to 140 mm without dismounting. The innovative

Infi nite Travel Adjust feature of the suspension fork

enables riders to adapt the geometry of the bike to suit

their current requirements.

2 | Lock-out function. The Manitou Radium RL air

shock can be adapted to match the weight of the rider to

perfection. The lock-out system ensures that if needed,

the bike rides like a standard hardtail model.

3 | Innovative. The frame was realised by using a

state-of-the-art deep-drawing process that allows for

a design consisting of two robot-welded halves.

4 | Presentable. This is a stunning frame. Not just

because it proved its stiffness in exacting load tests.

The new graphic styling emphasises its strong design

and shows what to expect of the Mountain Bike Enduro:

a combination of dynamism, style and sportiness that

only BMW offers.

When it gets down to the nitty gritty, there’s only one person you can rely on: yourself. This is exactly how our BMW engineers felt when they

decided to develop the articulating trekking stem for the BMW Mountain Bike Enduro themselves. Their premise: a mountain bike should

adapt to its rider – not vice versa. An infi nitely variable suspension with up to 140 mm of travel and a very upright seating position provide

enhanced ride comfort. And ensure that you master every descent in perfect safety. And speaking of safety: the BMW Mountain Bike Enduro

has been subjected to a comprehensive array of tests – like all bikes carrying the BMW name.

If you enjoy pushing boundaries, and facing new challenges is your idea of a good time, you need an all-round bike to match your mindset.

Like the BMW Mountain Bike Enduro. Its unique monocoque frame consists of two deep-drawn shells, robot-welded just like in automobile

manufacturing. This is why the orientation of the weld seams is not transverse, but longitudinal. The result: a captivating interplay of convex

and concave surfaces in typical BMW style. And considerably enhanced safety. So when you’re on a trail, you won’t have to think about your

frame. Only about how to best tackle the next bend.

BMW Touring Bike

1 | Seating comfort. Depending on the gear system,

the Touring Bike is delivered with different saddles from

the comfortable Selle Royal line. The saddles feature

a fl exible elastomer suspension and 3D Royalgel

cushioning, which reduces peak pressure by up to 80%.

2 | Superior visibility. The halogen light system has

an automatic activation function and provides bright

illumination, even when the bike is stationary. The hub

dynamo works reliably in any kind of weather, without

friction losses.

3 | Stylish rear rack. The sturdy rear rack was

developed especially by BMW to complement the

design of the Touring Bike. And, of course, to help

transport baggage safely.

4 | Perfect handling. With its easily adjustable stem,

this bike adapts to any seating position. The ergonomic

design of the handlebar grips corrects the rider’s hand

position and reduces vibration. In addition to greater

riding comfort, this makes for a bike that you won’t be

able to keep your hands off.

Comfort equipment:

Fully compliant with German road licensing regulations,

rear rack with integrated bicycle pump, rear light with

stationary function, spring clamp, integrated mount for

child seat, basket or pannier (max. 25 kg), attachments

for two drinks bottles, kickstand, hub dynamo with light

sensor on the front light.

Less gears than the derailleur model, but the same amount of riding pleasure: the BMW Touring Bike with gear hub in Pearl White

provides increased comfort without compromising dynamic performance. Turn the SRAM 9-speed twist shifter on the handlebar, and

glide serenely past meadows, fi elds and villages. The sturdy SRAM i-MOTION gear hub turns every gear change into effortless pleasure.

Of course the Touring Bike comes with all the equipment required by the traffi c authorities: mudguards, light sensor, hub dynamo, stationary

light function and refl ectors are included as standard. You’ll be impressed by other features, too. Like the bicycle pump integrated into the

rear rack, and the brake cable which runs invisibly along the inside of the frame.

27 gears. And every single one of them ensures a great ride. The Titanium-coloured BMW Touring Bike with derailleur system

combines contemporary design and optimum comfort. The BMW engineers used hydroforming technology for the frame, which allows for

the innovative, free-style design that makes our BMW Touring Bikes so distinctive. Premium components and equipment that meets all the

requirements of the traffi c authorities provide maximum safety at any time – whether you are riding along a country lane or a lone forest trail.

The gel-cushioned saddle turns even a long journey into a comfortable affair. Because we believe that it should be the rider who decides on

the length of a tour, not the bike.

BMW Cruise Bike

1 | Unmistakable. The BMW Cruise Bike owes its contemporary design to

hydroforming, a process fi rst used in automobile manufacturing. Hydroforming works

by injecting a hot water and oil emulsion into an aluminium tube at high pressure, which

causes the tube to expand until it matches the mould. The resulting frames are lighter

and more durable than conventional frames and feature a very eye-catching design.

This is emphasised by the new graphic styling, whose diamond design visualises what

BMW bikes are all about: a unique combination of technology and dynamism.

2 | Invisible. Brake and shifter cables are there to fulfi l a function. They should never

get in the way. Which is why, in the BMW Cruise Bike, they are partly routed inside the

frame.

3 | Inconspicuous. The weld seams on the BMW Cruise Bike do not only withstand

enormous stress, they are also very hard to spot. This is due to the smooth welding

process which uses a surface welding operation to smooth out the frame’s seams.

A ride along a beach or a trip into town. A weekend excursion or a club crawl. The BMW Cruise Bike effortlessly adapts to your lifestyle,

instead of dictating it. With this bike, you can express your individuality not only through your choice of colour – it is available in Pearl

White and in Red – but also through your seating position. The stem can be adjusted to the rider’s height, allowing you to fi nd your own

perfect fi t. Select components like the suspension fork, cantilever brake and Shimano Alivio 24-speed derailleur system complement this

bike’s extraordinary design and will make you want to be out and about a lot more.

The BMW Cruise Bike will move you even before you’ve taken it for a fi rst spin. Its unique

aluminium frame owes its distinctive, unexpected design to hydroforming technology. All seams

are smooth-welded and perfectly joined. The cables for the brakes and gear system are so

inconspicuously routed that they emphasise the BMW Cruise Bike’s pure, uncluttered looks. In

part, they even run inside the frame. In brief: the BMW Cruise Bike was built to look good. And

to help you get around in style.

Built to meet with friends. And to have a good time.

Designed for those afternoons that all too quickly turn into evenings.

1 | Invisible. The cables for the rim brake and 3-speed gear hub

2 | Extremely visible. The pedals of the BMW Cruise Bike Junior

are not fi tted with refl ectors, but with bright LEDs, which are activated

when pedalling. Which means your child is always safely visible.

3 | Tough. To ensure maximum safety, the stability of the BMW

BMW Cruise Bike Junior

The BMW Cruise Bike Junior does not just impress its riders, but also their parents. Durable, low-maintenance equipment, reliable technology

and a robust frame make this a bike fi t for any adventure. The geometry of the high-strength aluminium frame, which is available in Steel Blue
