KARTCOM NEWS #11
EDITORIAL
ALL EYES ARE ON ITALY
As the various national championships
are just about to start
or have just started, karting news
remains mostly internationally oriented and
Italy has particularly been monopolising
almost all the energy for more than two
months. After Castelletto and La Conca, the
WSK Master Series Super will soon produce
a result at Sarno, just after the first round of
the CIK-FIA European Championship for KZ
and KZ2. The worries early in the season
about the Vega tyres are in the past. The
hierarchy in the various international categories
varies from one meeting to another,
and the odds are very open for the rest of
the season.
The lack of the new spoiler support that has
been temporarily suspended for some adjustments,
is felt at times with too choppy
manoeuvres. Most of the drivers and teams
await their return with impatience.
The Florida Winter Tour 2015 concluded at
Ocala on a very positive note for the new
organiser MaxSpeed Entertainment, with
good European participation.
The 2015 Rotax Max Euro Challenge has
begun in France on the Salbris track, with
a technical mix between Max Classic and
Max Evo which has not always simplified
the work of the teams. This is perhaps one
of the factors behind the decline in entries
at this competition, although the standard
remains very high.
In exile in Italy, the IAME X30 Challenge
Europa gathered more competitors at the
Castelletto circuit during a successful
weekend for categories that have the wind
in their sails.
