Welcome to our Second Annual Bull Sale. I would like to thank all of our buyers,
bidders, sponsors, sale staff, friends and family for making our first sale a
success.
The cattle market is strong and the future looks great, and once
again order buyers could not find enough Char cross calves to fill the feedlots
up. This year the good heavy weight calves brought premiums with many
bringing over $1000 off the cow. Producers need the pounds to go with the
high prices to get maximum returns.
Our offering at this years sale is 30 yearlings and 2 Long Yearlings. This is our
most consistent bull pen yet, the bulls are long bodied, deep, thick, and have
tons of hair and great dispositions, we think you will be impressed. We feed our
bulls a corn silage ration to ensure proper growth and longevity. There are bulls
for all types of programs, you won’t be disappointed. Feel free to stop in anytime
to inspect the bulls and view their mothers.
Once again our friends the Kleppers from Triangle Stock Farm are consigning
a strong set of Simmental bulls from their super cow herd. They have a
good selection of reds and blacks and we are happy to have them back.
To add to the Charolais numbers we have invited Johnson Charolais as
guest consignors. They are bringing 6 bulls that won’t disappoint including a hard
to find Dark Red Two-Year old, and five yearlings sired by the half French outcross
bull, Sonny 63U. These bulls would be features in any sale and we are
glad they are bringing them here. Great people, great cattle.
New this year bulls will be selling on the big screen by video. They will
be penned outside and available for viewing pre-sale, but they will be sold inside our
heated shop. Make sure that you come early to have a good look at them because
they will not enter a ring on sale day. For your convenience internet bidding will be
available through DLMS, please give Mark a call with any questions. If you would like
more information or have any questions please feel free to give any of us a call. We
hope to see you sale day, come early and join us for a pre-sale luncheon and refreshments
at 12 noon.

Free delivery on all bulls up to 300 Kms - any
distance past 300 KMs will be at cost to buyer.
Board after Sale:
On Yearling Bulls We will be happy to provide
free board until April 1, 2013. After April 1. 2013
there will be a charge of $2.00 per day. All bulls
returning to the sellers must be insured. Insurance
will be availiable sale day from Stockmans
Insurance.
Volume Discount:
3 Bulls or more purchased will receive a
5% Discount on the Purchase Price.
Payment:
The terms of the sale are cash or cheque
payable at par at sale location on sale day
Semen testing:
All bulls will be scrotal measured and semen
evaluated prior to the sale.
Breeder Guarantee:
All bulls sell under the standard terms and conditions
set out by the Canadian Charolais Assosiation
and the Canadian Simmental
Association.

and she was my pick of their herd. She is a

Mel is one of my favorite tan bulls. Moderate frame, low
birth weight, wide topped with piles of hair. He is a very
correct calf and and has an outcross pedigree. He is sired
by a calving ease bull that we used on some heifers. He is
off a nice tan two year old Mongo daughter who has a perfect
udder. Mel should work on well developed heifers.
You will be sure to spot Mel sale day.

bodied bull with a great disposition. These
twins are mothered by a good deep, soggy
cow with lots of milk.
Captain Smid is a ¼ French Captain Morgan
son and a twin to 7Z. Smid is very long ,
deep bodied bull with a great disposition. If
you want calving ease with huge performance
Smid would be a great choice. Smid is
very quiet and can be led around by the kids.
6 and 7Z have a full sister that calved in January
and is doing a great job on her calf.

These ¾ French twins are the thickest and stoutest bulls we have raised.
They are smaller framed, clean fronted wide topped and have huge
butts. They are Marshalls calves and he was able to lead them both the
second day they were tied up. Last year their maternal brother was a
sale feature that got a lot of attention. Their Mother is a very quiet, easy
doing, deep bodied, thick cow with a nice udder and very good feet. If
you have some smaller framed cows and would like to add some thickness,
hair, and docility these twins would be great.

breeders pick of our cow herd, she is a smaller

It is an exciting time in the cattle industry and in the Charolais breed. We
would like to thank David, Kristina, Kendall and Marshall for inviting us into their annual
sale. With their great success at their 1st annual sale last year we were more
than thrilled to be part of it this year.
We have been breeding Charolais cattle for over thirty years, with a herd of
both white and red factor cattle. Our herd is relatively small in numbers but we believe
it is high in quality and performance. In the last few years we have purchased
herd sires from ProChar and have
been more than happy with the results.

Welcome and thank-you to last year’s bidders and buyers. The
bulls for the 2013 sale are uniform with many generations of red & black
and polled. The consistency in the set of bulls is met with calving ease,
performance, soundness and great dispositions. They were weaned late
September and have been on free choice hay. A bull ration is hand fed
to grow them out at a steady pace so they are ready to go out and work.
They were given Fusogard (footrot vaccine) plus a booster shot and will

TERMS & CONDITIONS
TERMS - The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at sale location unless
satisfactory credit arrangements have been made previous to the sale. The right of property
shall not pass until after settlement is made.
BID - Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No private sales will
be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding
will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder.
DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved.
If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted
the last bid. The auctioneer's decision in such matters will be final.
PURCHASER'S RISK - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
Animals will be cared for at the purchaser's risk for a reasonable time.
ANNOUNCEMENTS from the auction block will take precedence over printed matter in
the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements.
CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY - The proper Registration or Recordation paper, as the
case may be, will be duly transferred and furnished to the buyer for each animal after
settlement has been made.
SHIPPING - Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale but no risk is assumed
by Sales Management or Seller. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the
purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement.
GUARANTEE - All animals will carry standard breeding guarantee as specified by the
Canadian Charloise Association & Canadian Simmental Association. At no time shall
the seller's liability exceed the purchased price of the animal.
EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE - In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal
or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void.
ACCIDENTS - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort
of buyers, neither the Owners, auctioneer, or Sale Staff assumes any responsibility in
this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss
of property.
RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS - The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute
a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale
of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the
rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms
and conditions of this sale.
