The Students<br />
<strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> 2013<br />
Prerequisite Course(s)<br />
For students to register for AD4101 <strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> I and AD4102 <strong>Advertising</strong><br />
<strong>Workshop</strong> II, students are required to pass all prerequisites including:<br />
AD3101 Principles <strong>of</strong> Marketing Communications<br />
AD3011 Communication Arts Research<br />
Note:<br />
By registering for AD4101 <strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> I and AD4102 <strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> II,<br />
students are automatically subjected to the rules and regulations stated in the <strong>Advertising</strong><br />
<strong>Workshop</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> 2013 with consent.<br />
Group Allocation<br />
After the registration, students will be allocated into groups. Students are required to<br />
remain in their groups for both AD4101 <strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> I and AD4102 <strong>Advertising</strong><br />
<strong>Workshop</strong> II.<br />
Group Positions<br />
In order to ensure the progress and productivity <strong>of</strong> the group’s project, each group is<br />
expected to assign group positions to their members.<br />

The mark allocations for AD4101 <strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> I are as follows:<br />
Strategic and Presentation Advising 10%<br />
1st Presentation: Research Proposal 20%<br />
2nd Presentation: Research Findings 20%<br />
3rd Presentation: Consumer Insight and Campaign Directions 25%<br />
4th Presentation: Media Strategy and Key Visual 25%<br />
The mark allocations for AD4102 <strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> II are as follows:<br />

<strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> Strategic Advising<br />
The strategic advising session is organized for the purpose <strong>of</strong> providing strategic advising<br />
on the students’ project.<br />
Students are required to attend the strategic advising sessions as scheduled. Failure to do<br />
so will result in “0” score for the strategic advising mark allocation.<br />
<strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> Presentation Advising<br />
<strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> 2013<br />
The presentation advising session is organized for the purpose <strong>of</strong> providing presentation<br />
advising (content and format) on the student’s project.<br />
Students are required to attend the presentation advising sessions as scheduled. Failure<br />
to do so will result in “0” score for the presentation advising mark allocation.<br />

<strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> Presentation<br />
Students are required to attend the presentations as scheduled.<br />
Rules and Regulations for <strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> Presentation:<br />
1. The group must submit at least 10 copies <strong>of</strong> the presentation materials.<br />
2. The group and all group members must wear full uniform in accordance with the<br />
university’s dress code.<br />
3. The group whose members are not wearing full uniform in accordance with the<br />
university’s dress code will not be allowed to present.<br />
4. The group and all group members must be ready and be present 15 minutes prior to the<br />
scheduled time.<br />
5. The group whose members are late will not be allowed to present.<br />
6. The group whose members are late for three time will be given “W”<br />

Students are required to participate in the <strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> Showcase as scheduled.<br />
<strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> Withdrawal<br />
The <strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> Committee is entitled to recommend any student to withdraw<br />
from <strong>Advertising</strong> <strong>Workshop</strong> if they consider the student cannot manage the project with<br />
effectiveness and efficiency.<br />
