Cargill Animal Nutrition (CAN) is one of the Cargill platforms. CAN delivers customized products to
commercial feed manufacturers in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Compound feed and
premix businesses operate independently, supported by an integrated management team, systems and
technology. The CAN platform employs 16.000 people and consists of the CFN (Cargill Feed & Nutrition)
and the CPN (Cargill Premix & Nutrition) business units.
The CPN-EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region is part of the CPN business unit. Provimi is part
of CPN-EMEA. Provimi is a leading provider of animal nutrition solutions, specialized in the development
and production of premixes, concentrates, additives and specialties, such as piglet feeds and calf milk
replacers.
Job description
One of the focal points of the business is to upgrade the quality of its Finance function. In 2010 SAP was
implemented and as a consequence of its rapid implementation, we are continuously working on
optimizing the underlying business processes and improving our financial and business controls. As
successful candidate for this role, you will act in a dynamic environment. The candidate must see this as
a challenge.
The challenge in this role is to further enhance the internal control system, increasing consistency and
reliability of our administrative processes, continue to drive the transition of the finance function towards
effective business partners and drive operational excellence.
Responsibility/Duty
BU Business Partner Role:
Act as business leader in driving and implementing the strategic plan for the region
Builds bridges to other functional and business area’s and develops team accordingly
Develops financial infrastructure for further financial integration of transaction processing
Manages the transition of systems/policies and procedures and reporting towards Cargill CPN
standards
Provides financial perspective for the region on plans, performance and decisions; is an active
part of the decision process within the regional management team.
Manages and improves financial KPI’s, processes & risk management (e.g. Ebitda, ROGI,
foreign exchange, cost control, credit, duty management)
Key finance contact with General Manager for CPN Netherlands business from a strategic and
operational standpoint.
Fiduciary Role:
Monitors and analyze P&L variance to plan, highlights any deviations to management and
suggests and implements ways to close the gap.
Leads the budgeting process
Directs the Preparation of Monthly/Quarterly and Annual management reports. (Departmental
Cost, P&L, Working Capital, FTE’s etc.)
Oversees the Month end close process, including General Ledger activities including but not
limited to fixed assets, inventories, accruals and prepayments, taxes, hedging
Ensures timely, accurate & complete financial reporting as well as management information
including, but not limited to, P&L, working capital and customer profitability analysis.

Ad-hoc business analysis & control support:
Continuously seeks, identifies, suggests and implements ways to reduce cost, improve margin
and optimize working capital.
Manages and suggests ways to improve current factory costing
Continuously develops, maintains and provides suggestions to existing reports and automates
where possible
Assists in the preparation and evaluation of capital proposals when required
People Management:
Develop the finance team towards becoming an effective business partnering organization,
leading the cultural change that is needed
Selects and develops individuals with the talent necessary to achieve strategic and operational
goals. Utilizes PMP to achieve superior results. Is accountable for results. Pays proper attention
to the engagement and development of the accounting staff. Ensure that the BU future growth
objectives are met in terms of skills, capabilities and cultural aspects.
Train finance team members and other members of BU management as necessary on key
Cargill controls and processes (COSO, CVM, etc.)
Education:
Finance degree with specialization in management accounting / controlling, preferably
augmented with Post Graduate controlling degree / CIMA / CPA qualification
Accounting/Controlling degree preferably augmented by Post Graduate controlling degree /
CIMA / CPA qualification
Experience:
7+ years of experience within finance / business control roles
Approx. 5 years’ experience in finance / business control leadership roles, in a manufacturing
environment.
Strong analytical skills
A strong, independent team player
Good verbal and written communication skills
Excellent basic IT skills (MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc), and preferably working experiences
with SAP, SAP BPC and business warehouse tools (SAP BW, Cognos BI)
Leading Finance team in industrial setting

Reports:
Reports to the Finance Director CPN WEMEA
Work location and Travel:
Work location is Rotterdam (Netherlands), with occasional travel within the WEMEA region.
