Did you know that the world's first pipes of PE-RT were developed<br />

by DOW and HPG together and manufactured by HPG?<br />

The high-performance material PE-RT,<br />

that has been used successfully for<br />

many years in heating and sanitary pipes,<br />

is finding more and more fields of<br />

application thanks to its outstanding<br />

properties. PE-RT pipes are increasingly<br />

replacing pipes of PE-X (cross linked<br />

polyethylene) on account of their enormous<br />

functional capacity. The reason is<br />

the unique molecular structure of these<br />

thermoplastic polymers, from which<br />

HPG has been making top-quality pipes<br />

for over 20 years.<br />

perature resistance of the type PE-RT 80<br />

(Dowlex® 2344 e.g.). Pipes of <strong>PEOC</strong> ®<br />

display not only an outstanding stability<br />

against stress corrosion cracking and<br />

a very good creep strength. They are<br />

also highly flexible and extremely easy<br />

to handle, even at low temperatures.<br />

In addition, <strong>PEOC</strong> ® can be welded and<br />

is fully recyclable as a thermoplastic<br />

polymer.<br />

>> Using pipes of <strong>PEOC</strong> ®<br />

<strong>PEOC</strong> ® pipes are suitable, for example,<br />

for heat recovery systems, geothermal<br />

systems and solar collectors. As a multilayer<br />

pipe with a co-extruded diffusion<br />

barrier <strong>PEOC</strong> ® is particularly suitable<br />

for use in diverse surface heating systems<br />

(underfloor heating, radiator<br />

connection etc.).<br />

>> Standards and guidelines<br />

<strong>PEOC</strong> ® pipes <strong>com</strong>ply with all <strong>com</strong>mon<br />

standards and guidelines in their respective<br />

fields of application (e.g. DIN<br />

16833, DIN 4721, oxygen-tight acc.<br />

to DIN 4726, etc.). They are not only<br />

suitable for underfloor heating systems<br />

(ISO 10508 Class 4), but also for radiator<br />

connection (ISO 10508 Class 5).<br />

Current test symbols and monitoring<br />

contracts for various pipes of <strong>PEOC</strong> ®<br />

can be found in the latest version of<br />

our technical manual.<br />

For us it is a matter of course that our<br />

products, production processes and<br />

quality management system are regularly<br />

audited by independent test institutes.<br />

We provide security for you –<br />

with a 10 year permanent insurance<br />

cover and an additional 30 year manufacturer's<br />

warranty.<br />

>> We manufacture <strong>PEOC</strong> ® pipes in<br />

the diameter range 8 mm to 40 mm.<br />

>> Individual wall thicknesses are<br />

possible for every diameter.<br />

Long-term Behaviour<br />

>> The creep rupture diagram for<br />

<strong>PEOC</strong> ® shows the stability under load<br />

of pipes made from this material at<br />

different temperatures and pressure<br />

loads. The <strong>com</strong>parative stress shown<br />

here is independent of dimensions and<br />

thus applies for all pipe sizes.<br />
