Balance, Completeness and Appropriateness

The Executive Directors and Non-Executive
Directors of the Board provide a balance and
breadth of knowledge, experience and skills.
The Executive Directors have at a senior level
considerable NHS experience in a range of
areas including medicine, nursing, strategic and
operational planning, research and workforce
development. Their expertise is complemented
by the Non-Executive Directors who have
extensive experience in commerce, banking,
accounting, audit, research, family law, education,
marketing, social care, education and community
relations. The Nominations Committee and the
Remuneration Committee consider the balance
and breadth of knowledge, experience and skills
required on the Board at each appointment and
reappointment of directors.
