Treasurer: (vote for 1)<br />
Donna Hodgdon<br />
Our family moved to the Raleigh area over 7 years ago from Greenwich, Connecticut. My<br />
husband, Steve, works as a high net worth financial advisor for Morgan Stanley, and we have two<br />
boys, Brett, in 7 th grade and Tyler in 10 th grade at <strong>Cary</strong> <strong>Academy</strong>. I have an undergraduate<br />
degree in Business from Gettysburg College and an MBA in Finance from Loyola University. I<br />
worked as a consultant for Coopers & Lybrand, was a VP for First Chicago Bank, and was a VP<br />
in Systems at a Wall Street firm. When Tyler was in 6 th grade, we did not have a New Parents<br />
dinner. I felt strongly that new families needed a warm initial welcoming, so we created the New<br />
Parents dinner which we co-chaired for 3 years. I have been involved in the Charger Cup, New<br />
family committee, and the Holiday Shoppe. My experience includes chairing many volunteer<br />
committees, including serving as treasurer of a large nursery school auction, creating an<br />
advertising booklet for an antiques show, and as assistant treasurer of a school book fair. I would<br />
like the opportunity to serve as treasurer to give something back to <strong>Cary</strong> <strong>Academy</strong> as well as for<br />
the camaraderie of working with other parents, faculty and staff. Currently I am on the board as<br />
assistant treasurer, which provides continuity to the job as treasurer.
