#8 e) Position vacant. A volunteer to take the lead with
this detail is still needed. Marine Golladay stands ready to
assist with the transition to new leadership. He has
produced Detail Standard Procedures and are available for
review and continued implementation.

Chosin Reservoir Detachment Color Guard:
25 Aug Germania Society Oktoberfest, Cincinnati, OH

The Chosin Reservoir Color Guard presently
includes: Commandant Chuck Klosterman, NCOIC Tim
Plurien, Frank Hetzer, Bob Collier, Ryan Ertel and John
Tonkin.
Effective 11 March, Color Guard, CASKET &

FUNERAL GUARD SUMMER UNIFORM OF THE Day will
include the: White Short Sleeve Shirts with MCL & U.S. Flag
patches; MCL star-bursts on collar; white t-shirts (no Vneck);
Red Garrison Covers; Dress Blue Trousers w/blood
stripe; black shoes & socks; white gloves; white belts inserted
into belt loops; Marine Corps EGA buckle. DOD ribbons
and shooting medals may optionally be worn. Depending
upon the weather, optional uniform clothing includes the
Blue Sweater (no DOD Ribbons or Shooting Medals
underneath) and the Red Chosin Reservoir Detachment
Jacket.

Toys for Tots Message / Comments:
# 8 h) Report: A discussion was held concerning the
possibility of changing the date of the event to the week
before Thanksgiving weekend or the first weekend in
December. There is always a problem with getting support
from 4th Comm because it's a holiday weekend and so many
Marines take leave. A change in the date needs to be
discussed with Wal-Mart since it is thought they have a policy
where only the Salvation Army can campaign in December.
Chaplain Meyer who led this imitative last year will not be
available this year and a volunteer is needed to take the lead
for this year.

#9 New Business:
1) Paymaster Johnson needs to submit the change in the
Detachment Officer rooster for 2012 to National. Past
Commandant Tonkin is still receiving mailings from
National and forwarding to Commandant Klosterman.
While there is still interest in another Spring Grove Cemetery
tour, Chaplain Meyers reported that Spring Grove is no
longer providing lunch with the tours. Marine Golladay
suggested that perhaps the Detachment could put together a
potluck type lunch where those attending the tour would
provide their own lunch and refreshments. Chaplain Meyers
will look into dates available.
The Detachment has been asked by the Germania Society to
once again provide the color guard for their Oktoberfest this
year on Saturday evening the 25th of August at 1700.
