Article I. Legal Base GENERAL STUDENT REGULATIONS CHAPTER I DECLARATION OF OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSE The Board of Trustees approves the General Student regulations in accordance with the power that confers the First Section, Third Article of the Corporate Regulations that gives to life to San Juan Bautista School of Medicine. Article II. Declaration of Intentions This Regulation is approved to the aims to fulfill the objectives of San Juan Bautista School of Medicine expressed in their Corporate Regulations; in order to offer education of excellence to enabled students; to recognize the rights of the students in harmony with these objectives to establish the necessary and essential norms that they cause the best relations among the students; between these and the faculty, the administration of the School, its patients and the administration of the hospitals where they receive his/her clinical training; and to guarantee the conditions of coexistence that allow to the total formation of the student and the development of the conscience of service to the Puerto Rican community. In its consideration and study all the university community has participated; students, faculty, the administration of the School and finally was approved by the Board of Trustees. CHAPTER II RIGHTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STUDENTS The students constitute the main component and of greater importance in the community of San Juan Bautista School of Medicine; therefore, they will enjoy the right to participate indeed in the operation of the School and will have all the duties of moral and educational responsibility that by their nature are forced. 27
