21st SSC-SIA Bi-Lateral Games 2009<br />

It’s a DRAW!<br />

The competition started on 29 Oct<br />

with Golf teeing off at Sembawang Country<br />

<strong>Club</strong>. SSC were outclassed with 51 golfers.<br />

With the total stableford points of the<br />

top 14 golfers, SSC scored a total of 499<br />

points to SIA’s 4<strong>10</strong>.<br />

Badminton, Bowling, Snooker and Pool,<br />

Soccer, Squash, Table Tennis and Tennis<br />

were played on Sunday, 1 November at<br />

the SIA Group Sports <strong>Club</strong> and SAFRA<br />

Tampines Bowl. The competition was keen.<br />

In the Soccer match for instance, the score<br />

was tied at full time. Finally, SSC took the<br />

game 4–2 on penalty kicks – a remarkable<br />

feat since our last win was in 1999.<br />

The other two teams which brought glory<br />

to SSC were Tennis and Badminton. Our<br />

Tennis Team finished with score of 6 to 3<br />

and Badminton 11 to 7.<br />

Mr Matthew Matthew, Chairman of Board<br />

of Games of SIA Group Sports <strong>Club</strong> and<br />

SSC Sports Chairman, Mr William Kwok<br />

were on hand to present the trophies to the<br />

winning teams.<br />
