CHAUCER’S PUB is one of
London’s premier beer pubs, located
in an exquisite heritage building
next to the Marienbad Restaurant.
The two establishments share the
same eastern and central Europeanfocussed
menu, with a plethora of
hearty, traditional fare.
THE SCENE
Chaucer’s Pub provides a more casual
atmosphere than its Old World neighbour,
the Marienbad Restaurant. Whereas the
Marienbad takes its cues from eastern
and central Europe, Chaucer’s features
true Olde English style. This comfortable
and cozy pub is a throwback to a different
era, with a large bar featuring beautiful
woodwork and a brass rail, beveled and
Casual and Comfortable
stained glass, an antique clock, a huge
stone fireplace and intimate tables. Ancient weaponry adorns many of the walls,
but Chaucer’s spirit is entirely convivial!
MENU HIGHLIGHTS
One of London’s strongest selections of craft beers and imports will satisfy the most
selective patrons. Try one of the European beers on tap, poured and presented
according to tradition. While there is an emphasis on Belgian beers, Chaucer’s has
14 beers on tap and stocks approximately 85 different brews from six
continents at any given time, including brands such as Stella, Leffe,
Hoegaarden, Guinness and Pilsner Urquell. Canadian breweries
consistently on the menu include Keith’s, Mill Street and Unibroue.
Taking considerable pride in their beer offerings, Chaucer’s rotates in
selections seasonally, with heartier ales for the winter and clean crisp
lagers for the warmer months.
In addition to their beer selection, Chaucer’s also has an outstanding selection
of single malt scotches on offer. A creative wine list, with some VQA representation,
complements the menu.
