All of Majalah ICT readers anywhere : 

Subsequent to the March edition there have 

been so much unfavorable information in 

the development of Indonesian information 

and communication technology, therefore 

we had to present the cover in black color, 

in this April edition situations seem to 

change. There are many positive things 

emerged many homeworks related to 

telecommunication, broadcasting and 

internet industries that have been settled. 

One of which is the establishment of 

Internet with Negative Content Sites 

Handling Panel Forum (PSIBN) as the answer 

to process internet content blocking 

which can be held responsible. Then 

there is information on the change in the 

management of telecommunication operator 

and Telemathic Community (Mastel), as 

well as the support of telecommunication 

operator in welcoming the commemoration 

of the 60th Asia Africa Conference. From 

broadcasting industry, to produce better 

quality broadcasting programs, Indonesian 

Broadcasting Commission has also started 

to open School of P3PS (Broadcasting 

Behavior and Program Standard Guidance). 

All such developments are presented in this 

No.33-2015 edition of Majalah ICT. 

Through this forum we can covey that 

Majalah ICT also supports “DCD Converged 

Indonesia – The Business of Data Center” 

held on 28 April in Jakarta Convention 

Center which in this event the theme 

is “Leveraging Technology as Business 

Enabler.” This activity is one of the many 

cooperations between Majalah ICT and 

stakeholders of local and foreign information 

and communication technological industry.

Former Telkom 

President Director 

Kristiono Heads Mastel 

Former President Director of 

Telkom Kristiono won the 

competition in the election 

of General Chirman of 

Telemathic General Community 

(Mastel) for the period of 2015- 

2018. Kristiono succeeded in 

defeating former Secretary General 

of Ministry of Communication and 

Informatics Ashwin Sasongko in 

the election held in the National 

Deliberation mid April at Indosat 

Building Jakarta. 

“There are only two candidates. 

Both are equally strong,” said 

Setyanto P. Santosa, General 

Chairman of Mastel, discussing the 

election process. “I hope [he] can 

cause Mastel to be better,” he 

added in welcoming the elected 

Kristiono. Thus Kristiono will 

replace Setyanto P. Santosa who 

is also former President Director 

of Telkom. Setyanto himself has 

held the position of Mastel General 

Chairman twice. Kristiono will hold 

the position in the next three 

years. 

Kristiono was born in Solo on 

12 February 1954. He is married 

with three children. From 2004 to 

2007 he was a member of Board 

of Commissioners of PT Bursa Efek 

Jakarta. 

From 21 June 2002 to 24 

June 2005 he was the President 

Director of TELKOM, a prominent 

telecommunication company in 

Indonesia. He joined TELKOM in 

1978, he took his carrer path and 

held several important positions, 

including Area Deputy Head of 

Telecommunication VII Denpasar 

(1989-1990), Head of Logistic 

Sub-Directorate (1990-1992), 

Head of Telecommunication IV 

Project (1992-1995), Head of 

Regional V East Java Division 

(1995-2000), and Director of 

Planning and Technology (2000- 

2002). 

Kristiono obtained Bachelor 

of Electronical Technique from 

ITS (Institut Teknologi Sepuluh 

Nopember), Surabaya in 1978. 

From 2004 to 2006 he was 

the Chairman of Alumni Family 

Association of ITS Surabaya. 

In 1999 he was assigned to 

participate in Regular Course at 

LEMHANAS and passed with “Very 

Satisfactory” predicate. In addition 

he also participated in various 

education and trainings both 

domestic and abroad. 

Kristiono was actively involved 

as Keynote Speaker particularly 

in the field of telecommunication 

technology and management in 

Indonesia and abroad as well as as 

guest lecturer in various colleges 

in Indonesia.

Resolution of Annual General 

Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) 

of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia 

is to change composition of the 

existing Board of Commissioners. There 

are three commissioners who have to 

enter retirement and be replaced by 

new commissioners. One of the new 

commissioners who will enter the Board 

is former President Director of Telkom, 

Rinaldi Firmansyah. 

The commissioners to be replaced are 

Johnny Swandi Sjam as an Independent 

Commissioner, Imam Apriyanto Putro as 

Commissioner and Virano Gazi Nasution 

as an Independent Commissioner. 

Meanwhile the new commissioners are

Commissioner, P Pamela Johanna

and Margiyono Darsasumarja as a 

Commissioner. Pamela is known to hold 

the position as a member of panel of 

expertises of National Democrat Party 

(Nasdem). 

Meanwhile as to the composition 

of Board of Directors, there is no 

change. This is different from the Board 

of Commissioners in which the old 

Commissioners replaced have also held 

the position of Commissioner for several 

years for the Board of Directors the 

change was only in Extraordinary General 

Meeting of Shareholders of Telkom last 

December. 

“In the AGMS this time around 

shareholders have agreed on such 

company commissioner composition,” 

said President Director of Telkom Alex J. 

Sinaga in company AGMS in Jakarta. 

In addition to Board of Commissioners 

change, Telkom AGMS also agrees on 

dividend distribution in the amount 

of IDR7.3 trillion or in the amount 

of IDR74.55 per share, while special 

dividend in the amount of IDR1.5 trillion 

or in the amount of IDR14.91 per share. 

In addition to Board of Directors it was 

also agreed that bonus distribution is in 

the amount of IDR300 billion. 

Such dividend of shares is based on 

the number of shares that have been 

issued which is in the amount of 98.18 

billion and will be paid at the same 

time on 21 May 2015 to shareholders 

recorded in List of Shareholders per 

29 April 2015 until 16:00 Indonesian 

Western Time. 

President Director of Telkom Alex J. 

Sinaga reported that in 2014 Telkom 

gained a revenue in the amount of 

IDR89.7 trillion or an increase of 8.1 

percent compared to the business 

revenue gained in the same period in 

theprevious year. Meanwhile EBITDA 

Telkom grows by 9.7 percent to become 

IDR45.8 trillion and net profit increase of 

3.0 percent to become 14.6 trillion. 

Alex also conveyed that the company 

had prepared capital expenditure 

(capex) this year in the amount of 

IDR26.91 trillion. This capex is taken 

from revenue in 2014 in the amount of 

IDR89.969 trillion. And fom such capex 

amount 60 percent is allocated for 

the strengthening of Telkomsel mobile 

broadband infrstructure. 30 percent 

is used to strengthen under the sea 

network, and 10 percent is for subsidiary 

expansion. 

To support capex funding, the 

company also plans to issue obligations 

which value is still being reviewed. 

The company has conveyed such plan 

to Financial Service Authority (OJK) to 

obtain an approval. 

Meanwhile, bonus distribution which 

is agreed upon for all members of 

Board of Directors is in the amount 

of IDR70.4 billion or each director 

receives remuneration in the amount 

of IDR8.8 billion. Total tax from the 

paid remuneration is in the amount 

of IDR27.3 billion which consists of 

long term allowance and golden shake 

allowance. Therefore remuneration of 

all members of Board of Directors from 

subsidiary entity in 2014 was in the 

amount of IDR300.9 billion.

fter reportedly replacing 

President Director of PT XL 

Axiata, finally Dian Siswarini officially 

replaces Hasnul after the new 

stipulation from Board of Directors in 

General Meeting of Shareholders was 

held in the beginning of this month. 

“We have just completed GMS, 

one of ith resolutions is the change 

in XL Board of Directors in which 

I am appointed as CEO replacing 

Mr. Hasnul Suhaini and Mr. Chatib 

Basri as members of Board of 

Commissioners,” continued Dian. 

The name Dian Siswarini certainly 

is familiar in such Axiata subsidiary.

Dian started her career in XL from 

dealing with network plan which 

caused her to often climb the 

telecommunication towers then 

she became Chief Digital Services 

Officer. Subsequently Dian was 

assigned at the headquarter of 

Axiata in Kuala Lumpur and came 

back to Indonesia to become Vice 

President Director. 

Hasnul himself at XL EGMS at the 

end of last year said that Dian would 

replace him and became XL CEO. 

What Hasnul said is proven and Dian 

officialy heads all activities in XL 

Axiata.

few years. XL preparations 

are among others increasing 

network and service quality, 

and also going through 

organizational transformation. 

Such change on management 

side is expected to strengthen 

XL postition more in facing 

competition and challenges in 

the years to come. 

Dian Siswarini said,”This 

year there will be so many 

challenges faced by XL to be 

able to remain in competition 

in telecommunication 

business, among others sales 

target and revenue increase 

and achievement, customer 

experince quality increase, 

capacity increase towards 

4G technological era as well 

as maintaining shareholders 

value. It is undeniable that 

by starting to introduce 4G 

service at the end of last 

year customers’ demand 

for data and digital service 

became higher. Therefore XL 

has prepared a number of 

flagship products particularly 

the existing digital service 

products, and we will 

strengthen and multiply [such 

products] therefore later 

there will be many innovations 

that are enjoyable for 

ciustomers.” 

Dian added that as the 

second largest operator 

in Indonesia, public and 

customer demand will be 

higher. For such purpose 

this year we will remain 

allocating capital 

expenditure fund to 

develop and expand 

network in order to be 

able to provide services the 

public more extensively. This 

will also be a foundation to 

support company growth in 

the future. In 2015 XL plans 

to allocate investment 

that is similar with the 

investment value in 

the previous years 

in which most part 

was allocated 

to support 

data service 

business.

the past year, XL Digital Service 

business has experienced a growth of 

approximately 50% and has served more 

than 1,000 corporate customers, as well 

as supported by more than 10,000 work 

partners. 

To increase network quality XL 

ascertains that capacity and network 

quality increasing steps will be continued 

to guarantee customers’ conveniences. 

This 2015 XL will develop 4G service 

coverage evenly to a number of areas 

in Indonesia among others are Mataram- 

Lombok, Denpasar, Malang, Sidoarjo, 

as well as Jakarta. In December 2014 

XL launched 4G service commercially in 

Medan, Yogyakarta and Bogor. Therefore 

more Indonesian people can utilize 4G

Dian explained the internet use ratio 

in Asia between female and male is very 

different, in which male still dominates

and Informatics blocks 

20 sites related to 

MMM (Mavrodi Mondial 

Moneybox). These sites are blocked 

since based on the complaint 

conveyed by Chairman of Panel of 

Commissioners of Financial Service 

Authority (OJK) to Ministry of 

Communication and Informatics 

which states that such sites were 

troubling the public since they 

involved taking money from the 

public. 

Nevertheless as conveyed 

by Head of Information and 

Public Relation if Ministry of 


Ismail Cawidu blocking process was 

conducted after going through 

review process discussed in 

Panel of illegal investment, fraud, 

medicine, food, gambling and drugs. 

“The panel proposed to Ministry of 

Communication and Informatics to 

block such sites. There are 20 sites 

which were proposed to ISP to be 

blocked,” explained Ismail. 

Ismail explained that the 

consideration underlying such 20 

sites blocking was summarized 

into 3 conclusions after going 

through discussion review in Panel 

team “Such MMM sites do not 

have Legal Entity as well as legal 

domicile which arrange electronic 

transaction, do not have clear 

organizational structure and 

statement of public concern on the 

fund used for participating in MMM 

activities,” said Ismail. 

He also explained that generally 

activities by MMM are inviting the 

public to join and place fund in 

activities of MMM.

conducted through a system in the 

internet. 

Such system is created by 

Sergey Mavrodi (a Rusian). 

Participant nominees must have 

bank accounts, handphones (with 

active numbers) and email address. 

After participants register through 

the internet, the system (internet) 

will provide passwords to enter 

the system and access code for 

each transaction. Participants 

will be provided with instructions 

to transfer an amount of fund 

to a certain bank account (name 

of bank, name of account owner 

and number of account) and has 

a position as Provide Help. If such 

instruction is not satisfied, such 

instruction will be entered into 

blacklist therefore he/she can no 

longer participate in MMM activities. 

Transfer evidence is uploaded to 

the system. After transfering the 

fund such participant has a position 

of get Help and obtain benefit 30% 

higher than the amount transfered 

within 1 month. 

Invitation for Negative Sites 

Flagging 

In addition to sites, social media 

that grows rapidly at a certain 

point provides many benefits for 

the public particularly to support 

positive activities, however on the 

other hand currently there have 

been more and more accounts or 

contents emerge in social media 

which contain immoral activities 

or contents. According to Ismail 

Cawidu this is one of the negtive 

impacts of social media that needs 

to be responded wisely and a joint 

effort to eliminate or minimize the 

presence of negative accounts or 

contents is required. 

“Therefore the public should 

participate in supervising and 

handling the presence of negative 

accounts and contents in such 

social media through methods 

provided by each site or social 

media application i.e. by giving flags 

or marking accounts or contents 

which are immoral,” invited ismail. 

Ismail explained that there were 

methods to flag or mark, like on 

twitter, [such contents] can be 

flagged or marked by clicking or 

pressing “more” (the sign “” on the 

web or iOS, Android). Then chose 

“Report” then choose “It displays a 

sensitive [image/video/media].” 

“On facebook, [you can] flag or 

mark by pressing the sign “” then 

choose “report page” then choose “I 

think it shouldn’t be on facebook”, 

then choose “It’s sexually explicit” 

then click “Submit to Facebook for 

Review,” explained Ismail. 

Meanwhile, added Ismail on 

Youtube, flagging or marking can 

be done by pressing the sign “”or 

“more action” then choose “sexual 

content” then choose the sub 

criteria among others graphic sexual 

activity, nudity, suggestive but 

without nudity, content involving 

minnors, and other sexual content.

timestamp as well as description on 

negative activities that we find.

Meanwhile the death of Deudeuh 

Alfisahrin or on her twitter account 

she was more known as Tataa 

Chubby caused an opinion that 

social media is now utilized to 

offer prostitution online. Despite 

using anonymous account or is now 

called as alter account, this shows 

the tip of iceberg in which there 

are many similar alter accounts 

which offer the same service in 

which account owner can be ‘used’. 

In responding to the utilization of 

social media to offer prostitution 

services online, Minister of 


Rudiantara admitted that there 

were difficulties to limit such 

practice on social media. According 

to him, media social accounts are 

private therefore they are hard to 

follow up. 

“For individual it is difficult, what 

we are focusing on right now is 

those that are for public. Unlike 

sites which are managed and their 

organizations are designated to 

the public, person to person is 

troublesome” said Rudiantara 

as quoted from Ministry of 

Communication and Informatics. 

Therefore, he added, he cannot 

supervise all social media accounts 

including Twitter contents in 

Indonesia. 

“Minister of Communication and 

Informatics can only follow up if 

there is a report from the public,” 

said this man who is usually 

called RA. For such purpose, he 

hoped, the public is required to 

report to the Ministry if they find 

prostitution practice through 

social media which is considered as 

troubling the public. 

As we all know, the account @ 

tataa_chubby is believed to be 

the account of Deudeuh who was 

found dead in her rented room 

with her neck strangled with cable, 

her mouth was gaged with socks. 

From her Twitter account it was 

discovered that such 26 year old 

woman offered herself to be ‘used’ 

and there were several screenshots 

of testimony from users of such 

IDR350 service. The Police has 

arrested the man with initial RS 

who allegedly caused Deudeuh to 

suffocate and die.

As to the allegation that 

this institution will become 

the internet censor institution, 

Minister of Communication and 

Informatics Rudiantara affirmed 

that Internet Sites with Negative 

Content Handling Panel Forum 

(PSIBN) is not an internet censor 

institution, this panel will not even 

become a censoring insitution. 

Panel team only has the authority 

to provide assesment and 

recommendation. 

Rudiantara explained that the 

team of panels works to provide 

recommendation to Ministry of 


whether a site must be blocked. 

Assesment and recommendation 

are based on a prior complaint 

from the public concerning the 

alleged negative contents. “What 

have been agreen upon is if there 

is a complain then it is brought to 

the panel. The panel team is not 

a censor institution. The panel 

team only provides assesment 

and recommendation,” affirmend 

Rudiantara. 

He added that just like what 

happened to the blocking of 19 

sites which were considered as 

containing radicalism element 

conducted by Kominfo, the 

blocking was based on a complaint 

from the public and National Board 

of Terrorism Prevention (BNPT). 

“This is an anticipation and 

prevention of radicalism belief. We 

are trying to meet the owner of 

the sites,” he said. 

With the formation of Panel 

team, such team will meet the 

owners of the sblocked sites to 

find solutions on the pros and cons 

of such sites blocking. 

Legal Approach 

Internet Sites with Negative 

Contents Handling forum 

(PSIBN) has started to work. At 

work, this forum will use legal 

approach. This was conveyed by 

Head of Information Center and 

Community Relation of Ministry of 


(Kemkoinfo) Ismail Cawidu. 

According to Ismail, PSBIN forum, 

in the prime summit comes up 

with five points. He said, first, all 

policies taken by panel team are 

implemented with legal approach. 

Second, there will be clear criteria 

on the negative substance or 

content in details. Third, the 

definition of emergency will be 

discussed and affirmed in the 

panel. “Fourth, Minister of Kominfo 

Regulation No.19/2014 regarding 

internet content is still standing, 

despite the ongoing improvement.

The name Fetty Fajriati is familiar for

when this woman who was born on 28 

June became a news anchor on such 

television station. Despite she has left 

such position for years, it doesn’t reduce 

Fetty’s capability in understanding 

broadcsting world extensively. 

This woman obtained her 

bachelor degree from Teaching 

and Educational Science Institute 

(IKIP) Jakarta and Master of Arts 

in Communication field from 

University of Leeds England then 

obtained a mandate to handle 

broadcasting industry by 

becoming Deputy Chairman 

of Central Indonesian 

Broadadcasting Commission

Subsequent to KPI, Fetty continued 

her career. Following the convergence 

flow that caused borders among 

broadcasting, IT and telecommunication 

to be more vague, through a tight 

selection, Fetty then was chosen 

to become a member of Indonesian 

Telecommunication Regulatory Board 

(BRTI) for the period of 2012-2015. 

Just like when she was at the Central 

KPI, in BRTI Fetty was also the only 

woman among the 9 members of BRTI. 

“As the only woman among 8 men 

in BRTI, I have to push myself to be 

able to understand telecommuncation 

business. Actually the intention to 

become a member of KRT-BRTI was 

based on the intention to be able to 

bridge telecommunication sector with 

boadcasting sector, considering the 

enactment of digital broadcasting 

system. There will be Digital dividend

which is left behind by broadcasting 

system shift from analog to digital on 

700 MHz frequency band. However 

it turned out that BRTI purely handles 

telecommunication,” said Fetty. 

Therefore, continued Fetty, for 3 

years she drove herself to be able to 

understand telecommunication ins and 

outs such as interconnection, frequency 

reframing, telecommunication service 

standard, merger and acquisition and 

many more. This also includes legal 

issues that took place in the world 

of telecommunication, such as IM2 

case, Telkomsel bankruptcy, and other 

cases. “I really drive the formation of 

local content and application that can 

compete with global OTT in Indonesia. 

I dream that one day local contents 

can be glorious in our own country 

and other countries,” said this woman 

who often attends international 

Conferences or Council related to 

telecommunication from ASEAN to ITU 

levels, institutions under UNO which deal 

with telecommunication. 

However, time flies and Fetty’s duties 

in BRTI are approaching their end. The 

government has selected new members, 

and Fetty’s name is not apparent in 

the re-selection process, despite she is 

allowed to become a member in such 

regulating, supervising and controlling 

telecommunication industrial institution. 

“Since I completed my master’s 

degree I have always wanted to continue 

to [obtain] doctorate [degree]. Having 

gathered with many Doctors in KRT-BRI 

caused me to increase my interest in 

taking doctorate program in one of the 

prominent universities in Jakarta despite 

my age which is above 45. 

That’s why I dont run for BRTI 

commissioner anymore, since I can 

hardly wait to study again,” said Fetty 

on her reason not to run anymore. 

Despite her stay in BRTI for three

because she was able to cooperate with 

people who have good competence and 

credibility. “I admire and learn a lot from 

my colleagues at Telecommunication 

Regulatory Commitee (KRT). In addition 

to being experts in their fields, they 

also have high idealism in improving 

telecommunication sector to become 

a vast growing sector. There are many 

people who intend to join independent 

institutions such as BRTI to make money 

or political influence. However, for three 

years socializing with colleagues in KRT- 

BRTI, I saw friends fellow commissioners 

who worked with full sincerety 

and do not expect anything from 

telecommunication operators. Hopefully 

this impression will be attached to KRT- 

BRTI for the next period,” she said. 

Despite she is no longer in BRTI, Fetty 

hopes that BRTI will always be present, 

particularly as a representative of the 

public. According to Fetty the presence 

of BRTI is not only to balance the 

Government in this matter KemKominfo, 

but also the driver of the growth 

of Telecommunication Industry and 

protector for telecommunication user 

community. 

“When I and my colleagues in KRT- 

BRTI were just appointed in KemKominfo 

there was nobody who specially handled 

towers and retribution taken by Regional 

Governments all over Indonesia. Now 

after KRT-BRTI approached Regional 

Governments in regions, matters 

related to tower cutting, tower 

retribution levy became the attention 

of Regional Government. Currently 

Yogyakarta Regional Government 

invited KRT-BRTI to sit together and 

draft Regulation of Yogyakarta mayor 

relating to Telecommunication Tower 

Structuring. This is a good breakthrough 

and must be continued to the future, “ 

she recalled. 

Nevertheless, this women who was

pay more attention to the presence

e-banking, e-commerce, e-procurement 

and others,” she explained. 

Therefore Fetty does not suggest that 

Kominfo randomly draft Convergence 

Law. “Let Telecommunication Law, 

Broadcasting Law, ITE Law, Banking 

Law stand on their own. Without 

Convergence Law, at this time 

convergence practice itself has taken 

place, right? 

All Kemkoinfo has to do is look at 

the location of irregularities which 

take place in convergence practices 

which has already taken place. Then we 

think what values should be inserted

hand, there are negative sides of the 

internet that we must be vigilant of. 

Pornography, gambling, fraud, abuse and 

others are the “dark side” of the virtual 

world. At this time internet is not only 

used by adults but also by children,” said 

this mother of two boys, Rizki and Rafi. 

Fetty concerns that “the dark side” 

will be entered by children. “What will 

the quality of our children be when 

they grow up? Here the role of women 

is required particularly Mother as the 

parent to guide her children in using 

smartphones, or the internet smartly.

P3SPS School, An Effort 

to Improve Broadcasting 

Programs 

The effort of improving 

broadcasting program in the 

Broadcasting Insitution continues 

to be conducted by Indonesian 

Broadcasting Commission (KPI). 

Among others is by launching 

P3SPS School program 

(Broadcasting Behavior 

and Broadcasting 

Program Standard 

Guidance). P3PSP school 

is an effort of KPI to 

ground broadcasting 

regulating values which 

have been the guidance 

in assessing the content of 

broadcasting in the form of 

technical guidance training. 

According to Central KPI 

Commissioner who is also 

the Head of P3SPS School 

Sujarwanto Rahmat Arifin, 

the birth of idea to work on 

KPI supervision often meets 

repeated error in television and 

radio broadcasting. 

In addition to that, according to 

Rahmat, KPI has been invited to covey 

P3SPS to a number of Broadcasting 

Institutions. “With P3SPS School, KPI 

immediately invites all broadcasting 

elements to participate in technical 

guidance training that we have used,” 

said Rahmat. 

He added that during his period 

as Commissioner in KPI Broadcasting 

content field, there 

have been many 

broadcasting 

actors and 

practicioners 

who do not 

understand 

P3SPS.

“In the future hopefully broadcasting 

professionality does not only emphasize 

on technical capability but also 

understanding on broadcasting value, 

guidance and regulation themselves,” 

said Rahmat. 

The launching 

of P3SPS KPI 

took place 

on 21 April 

2015, which was simultaneous with the 

commemoration of Kartini Day. Ministry 

of Communication and Informatics 

Expert Staff for Communication and 

Mass Media Field Henri Subiakto said 

“The launching of P3SPS School which 

is at the same time with Kartini Day 

has the same motivation as the spirit 

struggled by RA Kartini which is the 

pioneer of change. 

Technical guidance to increase 

understanding on P3SPS is very 

important and we support it,” said Henri 

Subiakto. 

Henri explained that P3SPS 

understanding at this time was still 

minimum in the broadcasting actor 

scope. According to him this could 

be seen in the many violations found 

in the event program in Broadcasting 

Institution in the form of advertising 

program. Therefore, he said, P3SPS 

school was 

the right step 

to provide 

technical 

understanding 

and training

this was also relevant with Manpower 

Law mandate which directs professional

Samsung’s Hope 

on Galaxy S6 & 

S6 Edge

Samsung namely Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge 

were sold well. It has been confirmed 

that the pre-order of Galaxy S6 and 

S6 Edge has been great in which just 

until March Samsung had received 20 

million pre-order of both cellular phones. 

Having seen this, there is apotential that 

Samsung sales will increase in two folds 

compared to last year. 

Analyst predicts that Samsung sales 

will be more than 50 million this year. 

Quoting a report by DRAMeXchange, 

Korea Hearald, Samsung will sell 2.2 

million units of Q2 with additional 16.2 

million sales in the third quarter and

12.5 million for Q4. 

Such prediction does not doubt 

that Samsung will sell more Galaxy 

S6 units than any other Galaxy S 

flagships. The best product of the 

company at this time is Galaxy S4 

in which 16 million of this products 

are sold in the first quarter. Meanwhile 

Galaxy S5 only sells 12 million units in 

the first three months of availability. 

The presence of Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge 

seems to immediately break such record. 

For Samsung Indonesia fans who wait to 

try the latest Samsung product, Galaxy S6 

product finally can be ordered on 13 April.

Samsung Galaxy S6 was launched 

simultaenously with Samsung Galaxy 

S6 Edge at the event of Mobile World 

Congress 2015 in Barcelona, Spain, 1 

March. Both Android cellular flagship, 

particularly S6 Edge obtained so much 

attention due to its appearance, with 

curves on left and right sides of such 

cellular phone. 

Samsung previously had used this 

appearance through Galaxy Note 

launched at the end of last year,

Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have sides 

made of metal with mixture of shiny 

plastic. Home button has a candy shape. 

This Samsung flagship borrows Galaxy 

Alpha and Note 4 frame metal, in which 

S6 and S6 Edge have metal sides, mixed 

with shiny plastic on the front part. 

Samsung said, the used glass is 50% 

stronger than high-end smartphones. 

The body of cellular phone glass is made 

of Corning Gorilla Glass 4, available 

in White Pearls, Black Sappire, Gold 

Platinum, Blue Topaz and Green Emerald. 

Galaxy S6 has a size of 143.4 x 

70.5 x 6.8 mm and weighs 138 grams. 

Meanwhile S6 Edge has the size of 

142.1 x 70.1 x 7 mm and weighs 132 

grams. Both batteries are said to be 1.5 

faster than S5 last year. 

Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have 5.1 

screen the same as Galaxy S5, however 

with higher resolution namely 2560 x 

1440 with pixel density of 577 per inch, 

which means 77% 

larger than S5.

S6 models have 16-megapixel camera 

with optical image stabilization on the 

back part and 5MP censor on the front. 

This camera always stands by, therefore 

double click on Home button causes 

the camera to be ready only within 0.7

other cellular phones. 

Samsung has provided S6 and S6 Edge 

processor 64-bit which reportedly is 20% 

faster than Galaxy Note 4, meanwhile 

the power is 35% more efficient.
