Over the past six
months, Desert
Mountain has been
preparing to release
our new Membership
programs. The
past two weeks have
been extremely busy
with preparing new
Club collateral, as
well as leers to
our membership,
prospecve members, and updang
the website and mobile app.
Where do I start? I guess as all great
stories do, at the beginning. Courtney
Wagner, OLW Asst GC Super,
began her career with Desert
Mountain on March 26, 2012
and in just a lile over four
months she was promoted and
transferred to the Outlaw
facility. I was given a wonderful
opportunity on September 3,
2012 to come to Outlaw as the
Head Golf Professional and I
am sure Courtney had some of
the same thoughts I did of
“where do I begin?”. She started just as
she should have, first observing and
learning the ways of Outlaw. Since
then Courtney has shown she is a
go-geer and over the last eight
months she has become one of our
best managers on property. As I usually
arrive fairly early each day, anyme
between 5:30am and 6:00am, she is on

for the aernoon
irrigaon of
the greens. This is
no small task since
there are two greens for every hole.
David had to accomplish this task with
the interns who are relavely new to
Desert Mountain and who require
on-the-job training to make sure the

Many of our
engineers go
above and beyond
to help
our members
by jump-starng
car baeries,
changing car
res/ bicycle
res and blowing up basketballs, to
name a few examples. On one
parcular day, Jose Gonzalez, Club
Maint Team Lead, really stepped up
to help a distressed member. A
member’s daughter, who is staying
in a home in the Boulders while
their home is being built in Desert
Mountain, rode her bike to Sonoran
to work out. When she came out,
she discovered she had a flat re.
Jose was called to see if he could fill
the re, but he was not able to fix
it. Jose then called me to ask for
permission to leave property to
take the daughter and her bike
home. Thirty minutes later the
member’s daughter and bike were
home safe and sound.

Sandy Painter, PR & Communicaons
Manager, took the lead on draing all
of the above. She not only draed the
original items but was responsible for
numerous revisions made by mulple
pares. Her professionalism and
dedicaon to membership sales is
invaluable. Sandy kept us all on
schedule and allowed us to complete
our tasks on me and with wonderful
results. Thank you, Sandy, for all of
your assistance and leadership!

Courtney is one of the best
in communicang with the
golf shop on a daily basis
and she takes her career
and her posion at Desert
Mountain very seriously.
She strives to emulate our
six Core Values each and
every day. Courtney is a
Team Player and every me
I have asked for assistance,
her Spirit to Serve is second
to none. She is always aware of where
her team should be on the golf course
and what me they should either
arrive or depart. Courtney always has a
smile on her face and is not afraid to
laugh at herself. She is fun to work with
and is a great asset to Desert Mountain
Club.

greens received the right amount of
water in the right places. Once this
task was done, David stayed late, aer
everyone else was gone, to watch the
irrigaon system complete its cycle and
make sure that all the sprinklers were
off. David drove down Pima Road
somewhere around 11 pm. This is
typical of how David approaches his
job. He is willing to do what it takes to
make sure the quality of Renegade and
Desert Mountain is what is expected.
