The Central Valley Corvette Club was
chartered in 1991 for the owners of the only
real AMERICAN sports car, the awesome
CORVETTE. It's a social organization with
activities that provide enjoyment for the true
Corvette lover.
MONTHLY MEETINGS ARE HELD
AT 6.30 P.M. ON THE 3 RD TUESDAY
OF EVERY MONTH AT YOSEMITE
FALLS CAFE, 4278 W. ASHLAN AVE,
FRESNO CALIFORNIA. INTERESTED
CORVETTE ENTHUSIATS ARE
MORE THAN WELCOME TO
ATTEND THE MEETINGS AND MEET
OUR MEMBERS.
Club activities include monthly meetings,
car shows, weekend Club activities,
overnighters, picnics, road rallies, summer
cruises, holiday get-to-gathers and more!
Eligibility for membership in CVC is
defined in Article III, section 1 of the
bylaws in part as follows: "Membership in
Central Valley Corvettes shall be open to all
Corvette owners who are sponsored by a
member in good standing. Additionally, a
prospective member must, within a three
month period , attend two consecutive
meetings, participate in two club sanctioned
social activities, pay current membership
dues and initiation fees, and be approved by
two- thirds vote of membership present at
any general membership meeting by secret
ballot
Sponsors shall be responsible for advising
prospective member of results. All members
must submit proof of personal insurance in
accordance with California State Law upon
application for membership, and all
members must be a member of the
association providing club liability insurance
for CENTRAL VALLEY CORVETTES.
A prospective member who does not have a
sponsor will be provided one by the
membership committee. Non-members may
not participate in more than three meetings
or two sanctioned activities.
CVC membership dues are $67.00 plus an
initiation fee of $35.00. Membership entitles
two members at the same address voting
privileges at meetings (provided they are in
good standing) and membership rights.

Unlike a lot of people I love summer in the
valley. Fresh fruit, golf, sitting by the pool,
Dodgers and driving the Vette. We have
some nice driving runs coming up. There is
the foothill run and lunch on May 16 put
on by Jim and Joan Kozera and the Ventura
run on July 24-26 put on by Andy and
Connie Anderson and Patrick and Patricia
Garrahan.
Also Pam Hansen is sponsoring the 8 th
Annual Word From Home Car Show to
show support for our troops on June 28 th .
We can use some more runs with driving
involved this summer so if you have a
destination within a days drive that
interests you put together a 1-3 day run
and off we go.
The planning for the President’s Mystery
Run is in full gear. The cut off for signing
up will be August 1 st and payment due by
the August general meeting. I’m still
working on the cost but it should come in
at around $650 per couple. I hear the
weather is really nice in Riverdale that
time of year.
About ten cars showed up for the Clovis
Rodeo Parade and although it was raining
there were a lot of people lining the
streets. Everyone (especially the young
kids and old guys) enjoyed the rumbling
engines and good looking Vettes.
The 2015 Club Picnic is history and once
again the many club members who came
had a great time. Thanks to the Kroecker
clan for all the help in getting set up and
for once again lets us use Kroeckerville.
What a neat place for an event like our
picnic. Thanks also to the Board
Members for arraigning everything.
Looks like a new CVC tradition has been
born.
Christmas Party and Hay Ride will be here
before you know it!

General Meeting Minutes
April 21, 2015
The General Meeting was called to order
at 6:30 by President Gary Pflepsen.
The minutes from the March meeting
were read by Secretary, Debby Anderson.
A motion to accept the minutes as read
was made by Diane Hayes and seconded
by Charlie Fosnaugh. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report was given by Mike
Lebda.
VP of Public Relations/Membership, Dick
Danielsen gave the Birthday and
Anniversary report. He also introduced
our guests: Dick & Terry Johnson, Nancy &
Art White, Steven Sufert and Sarah Garcia.
VP of Activities, Skip Severance went over
the list of runs and the leaders of each run
gave a report. The May runs will be: 2 nd –
Cam Twisters Car Show, 3 rd – Club Picnic,
8 th – Lin’s Fusion Dinner, 16 th Combined
run with Corvettes of Fresno.
Parliamentarian, Craig Hansen had
nothing new to report.
New Business:
Four people were voted in as new members:
Art & Nancy White and Rick & Becky Helm.
We voted on a $1,500 budget for the picnic.
Fred Parks made a motion to accept, Leigh
Ann Severance seconded it, motion carried.
Charlie announced that you can now print a
copy or page from the newsletter if you
want.
Next General Meeting will be May 19 th .
Next Board Meeting will be April 28 th

IT APPEARS THAT NOT TOO MUCH IS GOING ON WITH OUR CVC MEMBERS
THIS MONTH.
1. SKIP AND LEIGHANNE ARE OFF TO EUROPE FOR 15 DAYS AND WILL VISIT 9
COUNTRIES WHILE TRAVELLING. SKIP SAYS HE HAS BEEN TO EUROPE
WHILE IN THE MILITARY BUT IT IS THE FIRST TRIP FOR LEIGHANNE.
2. MIKE AND DIANE HAYES ARE THE PROUD GREAT GRAND PARENTS OF A
LITTLE GIRL BORN ON NOVEMBER 27, 2014. THE FAMILY LIVES IN MERCED.
3. CHARLOTTE RENNA HAS A NEW MEMBER IN HER FAMILY. SHE IS A 2
MONTH ILD TERRIER/YORKIE FEMALE. CHARLOTTE ALSO NOW HAS A
PARTTIME JOB AT CLOVIS CHRYSLER.

What: Corvettes Speed & Feed Run. Not really a race, just a lower foothill run to enjoy the
views and our favorite cars, OUR CORVETTES! Then some free food, drinks, car ogling,
conversation, and maybe even some activities to participate in or enjoy watching.
Where: Start at Hwy 168 & Temperance (Park & Ride lot)

‘In the Garage’ with Bob Marine
Corvettes at Kern County Raceway 4-18-15
Just thought I would send you this e-mail that Chuck Hall forwarded to me yesterday. It's
pics of the Kern County Raceway run that Chuck and I went to Sat. All I can say is that we
had a blast. Joining the Corvettes of Bakersfield gang all 70 cars was great. They were
great group of people and very happy we joined them. The fact that Chuck's personal friend
is the manager of the raceway helped us feel right at home. Plenty of corvette's, all years, all
series, and even a few new Z06's . Racing was pretty cool. They had 3 different races
featuring different classes of cars. VIP treatment for all the members and cars, from the
parade around the track, burnouts on the straightaway in front of the fans sitting in the
stands, to parking all the corvette's in an area just above the first turn with a view. If you
chose to you could have watched all the races from our cars. Like a Drive in theater. Way
cool ! Check the video out. We will definitely attend this event again. Bob Marine
