Terms and guidelines for delivery and payment

1. Electricity consumption and charging
Electricity consumption can be charged using a metre or as a flat rate.
A metre is always installed for 400 V power supplies. Hire charge € 44.00.
Metres belonging to the exhibitor are inspected for a fee of € 12.00.
The flat-rate charge for electricity consumption is calculated as follows:
supply rating x power-on time (10 hours) x (event duration + 2 assembly
days) x electricity cost = consumption.
This amount is rounded up to a whole number of €.
The power consumption is to be stated accurately by the applicant and is
checked continuously by the exhibition electrician. Should it subsequently
be proved that a lower rating was stated, the amount of the difference is
subsequently charged by a surcharge according to outlay.
The price of electricity is € 0.35 per kW/h.
The invoice will be issued in the beginning of the event and is to be paid
immediately. Your stand personnel should be therefore be informed and provided
with sufficient cash funds for this purpose (EC and Credit cards accepted).
Due to organizational reasons, no exceptions of this regulation can be
made.
The invoice is to be checked immediately. Complaints about the scope of deliveries
and services charged are to be lodged with the service partner before
dismantling the stand to ensure that a proper check can be made.
2. This form is to be used for ordering the connection of a power supply.
The order form and the stand installation plan are to be submitted to the
organizer by not later than the stated deadline. See note overleaf.
3. An exhibitor withdrawing from the contract will be charged with the full
costs occurred unless he has notified the approved contractor in writing at
least 10 days before the start of the event.
4. In order to ensure a stable supply of electricity to all exhibitors, the connection
of unregistered equipment, particularly hotplates and heaters, entitles
the organizer to immediately disconnect the supply. Special connections are
required for electrical systems that cannot be supplied from the basic network
due to their high rating.
5. Systems and equipment must comply with the VDE and local electricity
supply company regulations. Supplies rated above 3 kW are installed only as
4-wire connections for load reasons.
An earth-leakage circuit-breaker is used for safety protection (trip current
30 mA). Exhibitors’ own distribution systems must therefore be equipped
with separate neutral and protection earth conductors. The approved contractor
accept no liability for damage caused by faulty electricity cables and
equipment that are not owned by him.
6. The exhibitor is obliged to switch off the power supply each day before
leaving his stand (liability for damages if this rule is neglected).
If equipment (refrigerators etc.) must be left running overnight, the exhibitor
is to ensure that no damage can occur.
7. The use of two-way adapters and portable immersion heaters is prohibited
for safety reasons.
8. Cables, control panels, metres, etc. provided by the approved contractor on
a hire basis remain the property of the contractor. The exhibitor is to ensure
that the material used is available in a complete and undamaged condition
at the end of the event ready for dismantling and/or collection by the contractor.
Any missing parts will be charged to the exhibitor at current prices.
9. Connections from the existing ring cable to the stand are only to be made by
the approved contractor.
10. Exhibitors are not permitted to connect their own cables and equipment to
existing cables on another stand. The approved contractor is entitled to disconnect
the supply immediately in the event of such action.
11. No liability is accepted for the effects of power failure, voltage fluctuations
and damage to the system.
Duty fitters are available for clearing faults during the event.
12. The order is placed subject to acceptance of the above terms of delivery and
payment.
13. The place of fulfilment and jurisdiction for both parties is Augsburg.
