We are releasing our detailed advertisement in the Employment News of 5 th September,
2009 for the recruitment of Engineer Trainees and Supervisor Trainees. A copy of the same
is being sent herewith with a request that the advertisement may be given wide publicity in your
Unit/ Division for the information of all concerned.
All relevant details related to this recruitment are available at our recruitment web-site
careers.bhel.in and the on-line submission of applications starts from today i.e. 31 st August,
2009. Applications are to be submitted on-line only at the aforesaid web-site. No other form of
application will be entertained. Departmental candidates are also required to pay the processing
/ examination fee of Rs.400/- for Engineer Trainee and Rs.300/- for Supervisor Trainee in the
manner detailed at our web-site. However, no application fee is to be paid by SC/ST/ Ph.Ch.
candidates.
After payment of fee (if applicable) and submission of on-line application,
Acknowledgement slip along with other required documents are to be sent to BHEL Tiuchy
through respective Unit (HR) at the address given on recruitment website careers.bhel.in.
In this regard, Job-Specifications for departmental candidates are as follows:
For Engineer Trainees:
Regular/part-time/correspondence BE / B.Tech Degree from recognized Indian University/
Institute or AMIE, AMIETE (Electronics) in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics discipline with
minimum 55% marks in the aggregate of all years/ semesters.
Eligibility:
As per policy, all departmental candidates are eligible to apply if they have served a minimum of
one year service in the grade to which they have been recruited. As such, departmental
candidates who joined as Supervisor Trainees (S0 grade) are eligible to apply only if they have
rendered one year of service after completion of their training.
Note: Departmental candidates, having a Bachelor’s Degree/ equivalent in any branch of
engineering are eligible to apply for the position of Engineer Trainee and have the option of
appearing for test in any of the disciplines advertised.

For Supervisor Trainee:
Regular/ Part-time/ Correspondence Diploma from recognized Indian University/ Institute in
Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Civil discipline with minimum 55% marks in the aggregate of
all years/ semesters.
Eligibility:
All departmental candidates working in A7 or lower grades in BHEL are eligible to apply. The
departmental candidates in A6/ A7 grades, if finally selected, shall be allowed weightage as
approved earlier for the previous batches of Supervisor Trainees.
Upper Age Limit
No upper age limit for departmental candidates.
