on the origins of the AAS<br />

As part of the revival of the Australian Army<br />

Stiletto (AAS) into service this year further<br />

research is being done into its origins. We are<br />

interested in any first hand information that<br />

members may have about the knife. In particular<br />

we are seeking any written material, photographs<br />

or recollections. This information will be used as<br />

part of an article to be written for an upcoming<br />

edition of the Commando News. Information will<br />

also be used as part of a display at the<br />

Commando History and Research Centre.<br />

Damien Parer ~ 2nd/3rd Independent Company WW2<br />

They are making a movie on Damien Parer's biography who served with the 2nd/3rd Inde pen dent<br />

Company. And the producer would like to contact any member of the 2/3rd. This is particularly important to<br />

ex-members who may be named in the story.<br />

The producer of the movie has also indicated the story will contain articles on the following and will feature:<br />
