Setting Up Volume Integrals<br />

Set up volume integrals for the following solids:<br />

1. S is the solid formed by hollowing out a square cylinder of side length 1 centered along the z-axis through<br />

the solid sphere x 2 + y 2 + z 2 = 4.<br />

2. S is the part of the solid sphere x 2 + y 2 + z 2 = 4 lying above the plane z = 1.<br />

3. S is the solid formed by drilling a cylindrical hole of radius 1 centered along the z-axis through the solid<br />

sphere x 2 + y 2 + z 2 = 4.<br />

4. S is the solid formed by hollowing out a square cylinder of side length 1 centered along the y-axis through<br />

the solid sphere x 2 + y 2 + z 2 = 4.<br />
