Flipkart, online largest shopping
portal once again had to face
embarrasement over 50% online
sale. when a kolkata basedfacebook
user ordered a pair of
sandal at Rs. 399/-.
Sen on receiving the order was
shocked to know that the discounted
price and the MRP
were one and the same. Infact
Flipcart had hiked the price by
50% (Rs 799/-) and then offered
a 50% discount which was now
available at same price as MRP
.i.e Rs 399/-
Mani Shankar Sen, posted a
photo (The picture above) on
official flipkart facebook page
and in no time it went viral.
Sen while posting a pic said
“Dear Flipkart Team... When
ever we think of online shopping,
we definitely check your
site first for the product availability.
You have built huge
brand value in India. But these
incidents damage customers'
trust factor, as well as your
brand value. Please see the picture
attached...”
Responding to the picture flipkart
commented on the same
picture“Sorry about this Mani.
Checking on this... will have this
rectified at the earliest.”
