BELLOW SEALED VALVES

The range consists of very low emission glanded valves and zero

emission bellow sealed valve. The products include gate and globe

valves all conforming to ANSI B16.34, and AP1602, BS 5352.

ZERO FUGITIVE EMISSION

Every single bellow bonnet assembly is tested for zero leakage using

helium gas and a mass spectrometer, to MSS-SP-117 Standard

requirement.

Individual sensitive leak testing ensures problems are found in the

factory - not the end users plant.

SAFETY OF PLANT, PERSONNEL AND ENVIRONMENT

• Any leak to atmosphere is a hazard and causes a reduction of plant efficiency. Where toxic, inflammable,

explosive or corrosive fluids are handled. Bellows Sealed Valves have an essential role to play in removing

the risk to personnel and the environment.

• Satisfaction of clean air control, whether it is the standard of EPA's proposed 100 ppm limit to air pollutants

of Gemany's standard T.A.LUFT, the bellows seal totally contains in the service media.

• Savings in energy and operational cost in steam service industries. Steam is very difficult to contain and the

cost of steam energy is very high, Bellows Sealed Valves provide the ultimate containment and isolation of

fluids saving the costs associated with lost steam and the repair of conventional valves.

BELLOW SEALED VALVES

DESIGN QUALIFICATION

• For any change in the design parameters of the bellow that affect cycle life, KVC always re-qualify by cycle

testing (e.g. change in bellow)

• The frequency of cycling is 20 cycles per minute.

• A minimum of three bellows of each basic design and material are selected at random.

Those produced using the standard production manufacturing processes are verified to meet the minimum

cycle life requirement as specified in MSS-SP-117.

• Life cycle test certificate available on request.

• Each bellow sub-assembly is helium leak tested.

• All bellow valve units are hydrostatic pressure tested.

QUALITY CONTROL PRIOR TO DESPATCH

• Every bellow valve assembly is leak tested prior to despatch, using Edward Helium leak testing equipment

with sensitivity of 10 -6 cc/sec. He.

• Hydrostatic shell and seat leakage test for every single bellows valve unit.
