WILLIAM BLUE COLLEGE OF HOSPITALITY SCHOLARSHIP<br />

The 2013 scholarship is worth over $35,000. Students are required to submit an application form and finalists will<br />

be invited to attend a two-day workshop to be held at William Blue in <strong>the</strong> first week of October. One full scholarship<br />

will be awarded to a student who shows strong leadership skills, is passionate about hospitality and has a keen<br />

THE C.A.S. HAWKER SCHOLARSHIP<br />

The Charles Allan Seymour Hawker Scholarship Trust Fund was established in memory of Charles Allan Seymour<br />

Hawker, an Australian scholar, soldier, pastoralist and statesman. The scholarships are tenable at one of <strong>the</strong><br />

following Universities and affiliated Colleges:<br />

The Australian National University – Burgmann College<br />

The Flinders University of South Australia – St Mark‟s College<br />

The University of Adelaide – St Mark‟s College<br />

The University of Adelaide – Roseworthy Campus<br />

The University of Cambridge – Trinity College<br />

The University of New England – Robb College<br />

The University of South Australia – St Mark‟s College<br />

The Marcus Oldham College<br />

Preference will be given to applicants with avowed aspirations to enter actively into <strong>the</strong> Australian political field,<br />

public affairs, community service or any o<strong>the</strong>r such activity considered beneficial to Australia. Applications open 10<br />

AUSTRALIAN ROBERTSON SCHOLARS PROGRAM<br />

Each year one Australian student is selected for <strong>the</strong> unique opportunity to complete a four-year undergraduate<br />

degree at two of <strong>the</strong> US‟ leading academic institutions, Duke University and <strong>the</strong> University of North Carolina at<br />

Chapel Hill. The scholarship provides for full tuition fees, accommodation expenses and o<strong>the</strong>r costs associated<br />

with undertaking a degree abroad, and gives recipients <strong>the</strong> opportunity to participate in summer programs.<br />

UQ SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ECONOMICS STUDENTS<br />

The Year 12 domestic Australian scholarship and <strong>the</strong> Year 12 onshore international scholarship are open to<br />

students currently completing Year 12 in Australia. The Year 12 indigenous scholarship is open to Aboriginal or<br />

<strong>To</strong>rres Strait Island students currently completing Year 12, or who have completed a gap year during 2012. <strong>To</strong> be<br />

eligible, students must apply by <strong>the</strong> closing date and be accepted into <strong>the</strong> Bachelor of Economics at UQ for 2013.<br />
