ACHIEVEMENTS
AND PERFORMANCE (continued)
6. Great impact through t collaboration (continued)
One
user of the Supportzonee said: "Supportzone is ann easy website to navigate
around, as it is
not cluttered, and is labelled clearly. The fact that it is all labelled makes it easier to find what
you need. Theree isn’t anything big I would change, as using the website is straight forward.
This
makes working on it stress free." As we work together there and understand the user
journey we are shaping thee online support further and producing contentt to engage the
champions.
We continue to deliver our expert askTheSite servicee on TheSite e via our eight partners, with
whom we work
to ensure young people get bespoke support for whateverr issue they are
facing. The sheer diversity of issues TheSite coverss is expanding all the time, yet it is by
complementing
our expertisee with our partners such as SANE, 42nd Street, Shelter, Citizens
Advice Bureau, Brook, Samaritans and Addaction, that we can ensure young
people get the
best support. For many of these services, it is also an opportunity to gain valuable insight
into oung people’s needs. Inn addition, we have completely redeveloped the online platform
that enables askTheSite’s expert partners to collaborate and respond to the questions we
receive on askTheSite. The new platform
will makee the process s of responding to questions
more efficient and flexible, improving our capacity to respond with quality bespoke answers
across the range of issues where young people need help.
The
support we receive from
funders, partners and supporters makes our work possible. We
are grateful to all our partners and collaborators whoo go over andd above the call of duty for
YouthNet believe they too believe in our work. Inn particular, we are grateful for the pro
bono support we
received from Taylor Wessing, Samm Fisher fromm Anomalouss Visuals and Dr
Ranj.
Supporting the sector’s needs for r volunteers
Supporting the voluntary sector through Do-it has been a key part of YouthNet’s
development of f the service. . Our partner retentionn rate has been consistently over 90%.
We’ ’re particularly pleased too retain this high retention rate despite many partners who had
previously been funded by vInspired not being able to renew. Do-it now
has over 659
direct posting partners who represent over 27,000 organisations across the UK. Our partner
survey shows that overall 82% felt Do-it, and 75% felt life would be difficult without Do-it.
through V-Base andd V-Base Recruiter, helped
them
achieve their objectivess YouthNet has been developing our bespoke V Base software usedd by Volunteer Centres as a
CRM
system to
manage their volunteers and partners offline and post opportunities form
local organisations onto Do-it. Our Partnerships
Team have worked with the V Base
Development Advisory Group to develop the next iteration off the software, V Base 3.0,
which goes live in the coming year. We are grateful to the support provided by the Big
Lottery for Do-it to enable the technical development and partnership work
at the heart
of
creating V Base 3.0 – whichh will dramatically improve the way Volunteer Centres manage
volunteering opportunities.
Over the course of the year we aim to train 414 organisations
on
the new software. We’re grateful to the
BAA Communities Trust who are supporting the
training sessions in London and the South
East, and have h enabled us to develop the specificc V
Base
3.0 training
course.
