Welcome to the final edition
of Ignition for 2012. You could
say that we have kept the best
until last or even see this as
an early Christmas present.
Either way you look at it, we are
delighted to confirm the launch
of another enhancement to your
membership, more Rewards
Points for you.
From 1 December 2012 all eligible
purchases on your Capricorn
account will now earn 1.5 points
per $1/Rand. This development
to the Rewards Program allows
us to reward your membership
even more and ensures you share
even further in the success of
Capricorn, the other business you
own. As a Member, you do not
need to do anything, but simply
continue to purchase using your
Capricorn account, the more you
purchase, the more rewards you
get.
2012 has been a fantastic year at
Capricorn and we have celebrated
many great things, including
record profits, and record returns
to Members.
We have experienced events
galore, as well as my first
Capricorn Convention in Phuket,
and it was a real pleasure
getting to meet so many of you.
I sincerely look forward to more
celebrations in 2013.
The close of 2012 also sees the
United Nations International
Year of Cooperatives (IYC)
drawing to a close and it is
evident now more than ever,
co-operatives and mutual
forms of business matter. The
continuing turmoil within global
financial markets and the rising
disenchantment with “big
business” served as a dramatic
backdrop to the IYC 2012.
The lasting legacy of this year
includes a national council to
represent the broad family of
co-operative owned businesses.
