This course aims to enhance the
knowledge and skills of clinicians
on diagnosis and treatment of
common medical conditions with
an emphasis on therapeutics
and long term follow up in the
primary care setting.
It will utilize whole class
lectures, interactive workshops,
case based presentations and
discussions; multimedia video;
and practical clinical
attachments; with English as the
medium of instruction.
It will also provide a good
opportunity for participants to
interact with different specialists
in internal medicine.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
The applicant must:-
• hold a primary medical degree, and
• have post-registration experience of not less than
12 months.
Applicants are expected to have access to the
internet and an adequate command of English and
computing skills.
COURSE STRUCTURE
• A 2-year part-time course with 12 modules of
academic study taught consecutively.
• Each module comprises 12 hours of lecture and
workshop, to be completed in one weekend
(Saturday: 2:30pm to 7:00pm & Sunday: 9:00am
to 6:30pm).
• Each module also includes 2 hours of clinical
attachment at the Queen Mary Hospital or other
affiliated sites, usually conducted on a weekday,
depending on the activities of the Divisions.
COURSE FEE
• Whole course: HKD23,000, payable on an annual
basis in two equal instalments (subject to approval)
• Occasional students: HKD2,500 per module
