◢◢Requirements
A grease and/or starch separator is designed to catch decantable
materials carried by waste water from community
kitchens and hospitals.
We offer a wide range of separators conform
to standards EN 1825.
◢◢Application fields
According to current rules, the grease/ starch separators
have to be used for the pre-treatment of surface waters in
the:
▢▢ kitchen
- from private houses
- hotels, restaurants
- community kitchen,
- elderly homes,
▢▢ meet processing factories
▢▢ slaughterhouses
▢▢ biscuit factories
▢▢ potatoes processing factories, etc.
◢◢Advices
1. It is very important to precisely dimension the apparatus,
even to oversize it. It will follow more comfort for
the user (less drainings in time).
2. The right operation of the grease separator forces to
have a sufficient sludge trap in order to enable the decantation
of manufacture or household wastes.
3. The installation of the separator will be largely eased
if the level of the water has been correctly measured.
We propose for this purpose fixed or adjustable
shafts which enable to position the apparatus
without problem.
How to choose your device
IMPLANTATION
TYPE
CHOOSE
CONFORMITY
The choice of the separator is related to the
number of meals being served per day in the
restaurant. When the device is not provided
with a sludge trap, then it is necessary to place
a sludge trap (SPE) upstream. The choice of
the sludge trap depends of the quantity of
sludge to be trapped.
◢◢Parameters
To determine a device, several criteria have to be
considered:
▢▢ Peak flow,
▢▢ Temperature of the effluent,
▢▢ Quantity of grease to trap.
For restaurants or collective kitchens, a table by type of device
gives the model to choose according to the number of
meals being served. For all other uses, please contact us.
▢▢ The starch separator traps the starches and the settleable solids contained
in the affluents resulting from potatoes peeling machines.
▢▢ The starch separator is fitted with a stainless steel decantation basket. This basket is placed at the
entrance of the separator and is intended to catch the starch from the peeled potatoes.
▢▢ The starch is “materializing” by a large quantity of foam.
▢▢ For this reason a perforated pipe placed above the basket is spraying water
to lower the foam down to the bottom of the basket.
▢▢ The water spray is controlled by the electric valve.
▢▢ The electric valve, coupled with the peeler, will control the incoming water
flow in the separator as soon as the peeler is in function.
