Day 1 – Saturday 8 June 2013 (D In Flight) Brisbane* - Bangkok
Depart Australia. Passengers departing from Sydney or Melbourne will meet their Go See Touring escort in Bangkok.
Overnight in Bangkok.
Day 2 – Sunday 9 June 2013 (B, L, D) Bangkok - Hanoi
Early flight to Hanoi. On arrival in Hanoi sightseeing until lunchtime then lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon at
leisure and dinner tonight at the hotel.
Day 3 – Monday 10 June 2013 (B, L, D) Hanoi
Sightseeing around Hanoi. Visit the forgotten village of Cuu, once the North’s premier tailoring village during the
French Colonial period. Stop at a local house to engage in a casual talk with the host over a cup of tea. Lunch is at
a local restaurant. Drive back to central Hanoi for a walking tour through the Old Quarter then cap off the day with
a show at the water puppet theatre. Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant.
Day 4 – Tuesday 11 June 2013 (B, L, D) Hanoi - Halong
Embark on a 3.5 hour drive to Halong Bay with a rest stop route. On arrival in Halong Bay, board your deluxe junk
and enjoy lunch on deck. Mid-afternoon visit Tien Ong cave, then continue to the Cua Van fishing village, the
largest community on the bay. Back to the boat and if you are interested a cooking class is offered with the chef.
This evening enjoy sunset cocktails and canapés on deck before dinner is served tonight.
Day 5 – Wednesday 12 June 2013 (B, D) Halong- Danang
This morning visit Soi Sim Island then back to the boat for brunch before transferring back to Hanoi to catch your
domestic flight to Danang. On arrival in Danang transfer to you hotel and dinner is at the hotel tonight.
Day 6 – Thursday 13 June 2013 (B, L, D) Hoi An
Early breakfast at your hotel this morning before setting off for the ancient city of Hoi An. With your guide
meander through a local market enjoy its sight, sound and aroma. Then embark on a 30min boat trip to the Red
Bridge Cooking School. Get your camera ready as the cruise offers a glimpse of local river life. Upon arrival at
this green space, enjoy a Join-in hands-on cooking class. Enjoy your own cooking before being served lunch. This
afternoon take a walking tour through old Hoi An. Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant.
Day 7 – Friday 14 June 2013 (B, L, D) Danang/Hoi An - Hue
The morning is at leisure. After lunch at a local restaurant, embark on a 3-hour drive to Hue with a stop en-route in
Danang to visit the Marble Mountain. On arrival in Hue check in at your hotel. Dinner tonight is at local restaurant.
Day 8 – Saturday 15 June 2013 (B, L, D) Hue
Start from your hotel with a 10 minute cyclo ride from your hotel to the Imperial Citadel. From there, a 20 minute
cyclo ride will take you to a pier where you will embark on a half-hour boat trip on the picturesque Perfume River
to visit Thien Mu pagoda. Lunch today is at a local restaurant. This afternoon drive out to the elaborate Khai Dinh
Royal Tomb. Dinner tonight is at the hotel.
Day 9 – Sunday 16 June 2013 (B, L, D) Hue - Saigon
After early breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Saigon. From the airport the group will travel by coach
to Cu Chi tunnels, before having lunch at a local restaurant and checking into your hotel. The rest of the afternoon
is at leisure and dinner tonight is at your hotel.
Day 10 – Monday 17 June 2013 (B, L , D) Saigon
Breakfast is at the hotel before setting off to explore Saigon. Embark on a walking tour to admire Saigon’s historic
landmarks including a stroll down Rue Catinat; the Opera House, the former Hotel de Ville, the Notre Dame
Cathedral, the Central Post Office and the former Presidential Palace. End the day at Ben Thanh Market. Lunch
today is at a local restaurant. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at hotel.
Day 11 – Tuesday 18 June 2013 (B, D In Flight) Saigon – Bangkok - Brisbane
Today is at leisure in Saigon. Grab a cab and head back to Ben Thanh markets to haggle over another bargain
or check out the designer brands on offer in the sophisticated shopping centres. This evening check out your
hotel for your departure flight to Bangkok and connecting flight to Brisbane. Flight arrives back into Brisbane on
Wednesday 19 June 2012.
