A Year of Firsts<br />
The 2009 - 2010 school year brought about many firsts for <strong>Le</strong> <strong>Jardin</strong> <strong>Academy</strong>. In<br />
October of 2009, the school proudly won its first Interscholastic <strong>Le</strong>ague of Hawaii<br />
(ILH) division one championship, as <strong>Le</strong> <strong>Jardin</strong> <strong>Academy</strong>’s talented varsity kayaking<br />
team beat out the best of the best in the ILH and brought home the 1st place prize.<br />
While some of <strong>Le</strong> <strong>Jardin</strong> <strong>Academy</strong>’s students excelled on the water, another proved<br />
to be at the top of his class by gaining admittance into Yale University and becoming<br />
<strong>Le</strong> <strong>Jardin</strong> <strong>Academy</strong>’s first student to attend an Ivy <strong>Le</strong>ague university. <strong>Le</strong> <strong>Jardin</strong><br />
<strong>Academy</strong>’s academic excellence was demonstrated yet again as two <strong>Le</strong> <strong>Jardin</strong><br />
<strong>Academy</strong> graduates, for the first time in the school’s history, were named Fulbright<br />
Scholars, and one Valedictorian of her university. Congratulations to <strong>Le</strong> <strong>Jardin</strong><br />
<strong>Academy</strong> and its students for their tremendous achievements and success.<br />
