2. Strong partnerships<br />
A partnership with Daimler AG has been existing since the formation of the company. <strong>Paul</strong> <strong>Nutzfahrzeuge</strong> GmbH is<br />
an „Offi cial Partner of Mercedes Benz Custom Tailored Trucks (CTT)“. Wide range of customisation of axles, cabs,<br />
transmissions and automatic transmissions. Alterations to the steering systems are also designed and constructed by<br />
<strong>Paul</strong> for Mercedes and can be ordered directly from Daimler AG as so-called one-invoice vehicles.<br />
In the meantime, other companies are also putting their faith in the technology from <strong>Paul</strong>.<br />
Some examples of CTT customisation:<br />
„Widespread“ with three-, four- and fi ve-axle for the Netherlands<br />
With an increased distance between axles in contrast to other EU countries, different axle loads and therefore<br />
higher total weights are permitted. Due to the greater distance between axles at the tandem axle, the last axle must<br />
be steered hydraulically in order to not generate any increased tyre wear. For the Actros‘ optimum performance on<br />
rough terrain, the chassis has hydraulic suspension which can be precisely adjusted to requirements.<br />
Trailing axle for the Actros<br />
<strong>Paul</strong> manufactures the trailing axle for the Mercedes Benz Actros, Axor and Atego models as a direct supplier.<br />
These are mounted in the Daimler factories in Germany and Turkey and, when the factories are at full capacity, <strong>Paul</strong><br />
takes on the installation of the components at its own factories.<br />
Customised cabs for the Actros<br />
A separate department in the <strong>Paul</strong> <strong>Nutzfahrzeuge</strong> company develops cab modifi cations for various manufacturers.<br />
In the case of the Mercedes Benz Actros, <strong>Paul</strong> constructs cabs which are situated lower and further forward - naturally<br />
with manufacturer approval by Mercedes Benz.<br />
