TKS FeedMixer Complete feed TKS FeedMixer has been especially designed to provide a good mixing result quickly. It is therefore well suited to mix complete feed, where feed types of very different consistency and character are mixed. It is important that the finer parts and smallest quantities are mixed in quickly before the structure of the feed is destroyed. In order to achieve the best possible result when mixing complete feed, more time and interest are necessary than is needed for a ”traditional” feeding method. Here the quantities of individual types of feed and the time used to mix it must be the same for each batch, to ensure that composition and consistency do not deviate, otherwise feed absorption and production will suffer. Round bales The mixer is also perfectly suited for cutting and mixing all kinds of round bales. Its powerful motor and augers design will quickly provide a loose and homogenous mass that can easily be fed out of all types of feed wagons. The FeedMixer has one of the most economical time-effect ratios in the market. Vertical screws The TKS FeedMixer has vertical augers to produce a fine and light mass where the structure of the feed has been preserved. Especially in the case of silage with a low percentage of dry matter, the vertical mixing system will prevent it from being compressed into wet clumps, which often happens in other mixing systems and results in reduced feed absorption. Options For a more reasonable alternative, the FeedMixer may be delivered without weigh cells, with manual counter knives and without filling functions. The cleaning function is retained in all models.

The counter knives goes in automatically when the mixing starts and goes out when emptying. If feed is to be portioned out several times a day, the hatch used to empty the mixer is shut between each feeding time by means of constant pressure that prevents leakage. Automatic functions also ensure that start-up of a full wagon is easier by first reversing the augers ¼ turn. The mixer can be equipped with a sensor that starts the mixing as you are about to add a new bale to the machine. The cleaning function When the scales register less than 200 kg in the mixer (during emptying) the rotational speed is increased in order to clean the augers and eject the rest of the feed to prevent the remains of old feed from gathering and affecting the next mix Two mixing chambers If required, the FeedMixer can be equipped with a partition dividing the chamber in two (applies only to wagons with two or more augers). This makes it possible to run two different mixes in one and the same machine – a rational solution for those who need to run two mixes simultaneously.
