It is no secret that fl oor drains are
best installed in a fl oor. Unidrain also
knows this, all we have done is to
move it!
In contrast to the traditional fl oor
drain, which must always be placed at
a distance from the walls, in principle
in the middle of the fl oor, Unidrain is
placed directly against the wall.
With this simple manoeuvre, Unidrain
solves by and large all the well-known
problems relating to fl oor drains, while
at the same time providing additional
benefi ts to boot.
In technical terms, the solution is just
as simple as it is ingenious.
In principle all we have done is to
supply the fl oor drain with vertical
wall fl anges, which then form a
waterproof interface to the wall
as well as simultaneously ensuring
precise and proper fastening during
the entire construction process.

Guaranteed secure wet room covering against wall
The Unidrain fl oordrain system is placed directly against the wall, where
the vertical wall fl anges ensure a waterproof overlap with the wall surface
membranes and tile covering.
The horizontal fl oor fl anges ensure a seal against the surface of the fl oor in a
corresponding manner via an overlapping fl oor membrane and tile covering.
This causes Unidrain to create a wet room that has been waterproofed
against both its wall and fl oor surfaces – and we guarantee it!

Construction method
Easier and more reliable implementation
provides better building quality
Precise and secure fastening
The covering and fastening of the drain unit against one or more walls
provides a large number of benefi ts, both in the construction process as
well as in functional terms.
One of the obvious benefi ts is a single-sided slope, which eases the
implementation of a proper base while also providing a completely fl at
substrate for the tiling. This enables the possibility for large tiles to be laid
without mistakes.
Simple and precise mounting and fastening
Simple and easy mounting with the possibility of precision
fastening ensures correct placement during the entire
course of the construction.
Proper clamping during casting
The drain unit is held fi rmly in place during the entire
pouring process, and hence does not dislocate.
The placement against the wall, away from the work
location, eases the adaptation of reinforcement and fl oor
heating.
Simple implementation of base with single-sided slope
Single-sided slope eases the implementation of a proper
base without any risks of back sloping or depressions.
The substrate for laying the tiles is completely smooth and
fl at, enabling error free laying of large tiles.
Wet room ensured sealed interfaces against wall and floor
The overlap of the membrane with the fl oor and wall
fl anges of the drain unit creates a wet room with an ensured
seal at the interfaces to both the fl oor and the wall.
Interior corners need not be sealed.
Easy mounting of tiles on completely flat substrate
The completely fl at substrate makes the mounting of tiles
easy – even with very large tiles or slabs.
No cutting of the tiles around the drain.

2000 corner system
A complete Unidrain fl oor drain system consists of 5 separate basic
components, which can all be supplied in a large number of types/variants,
depending upon the type and interior of the building.
In total, this gives more than 2000 different possible combinations!
This ensures that the Unidrain fl oor drain system advantageously resolves just
about any fl oor drain design requirement.
The following 5 components are included in a complete Unidrain floor
drainage system:
(1) Drain unit – 18 types/variants
Stainless steel with one or more wall fl anges.
Selection of model type is determined by the placement of the drain unit
in relation to the walls.
(2) Outlet unit – 12 types/variants
Injection-moulded plastic (PP) with in-built detachable water trap.
Available with vertical or horizontal discharge with/without side inlet.
All variants fi t with all drain units, irrespective of length and variant.
(3) Frame – 54 types/variants
Brushed stainless steel. Available in heights of 8/10/12 mm.
Frame type is determined by the type/length of the drain unit and the
thickness of the fl oor tiles.
(4) Grating – 26 types/variants
3 mm brushed stainless steel. Choose between 4 modern stylishly pure
designs.

1100 modular system
Modularly constructed system for larger bathrooms
The Unidrain modular system is an elegant fl oor drain set against the wall in
lengths of over 1 metre.
The system is based upon 5 types of drains in fi xed modular dimensions that
are delivered welded and surface-treated in customised lengths.
